GTA 6, answered
Is there a GTA 6 Trailer 3?
Short answer
No. As of 22 September 2026 Rockstar has published Trailer 1, Trailer 2 and An Extended Look, and nothing called Trailer 3. The game launches twelve weeks after that last video.
Sources last checked 23 September 2026
No. Rockstar has published two numbered trailers and one longer showcase, and nothing that carries the name Trailer 3. This page says what exists, dated, how far apart those videos came, and where a third one would turn up if it came — because the videos you find under that title today are somebody else’s.
What exists, and when it came
- Trailer 1 — 4 December 2023. Announced on the Rockstar Newswire the same day.
- Trailer 2 — 6 May 2025. Newswire, same day.
- An Extended Look — 27 August 2026. Not called a trailer by Rockstar, and the longest piece of footage there is.
That is the whole list on Rockstar’s own media page as of 23 September 2026, alongside nine short clips, two of them character pieces on Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, and five download bundles: the videos, ninety-nine screenshots, the Ultimate Edition renders, the Vintage Vice City Pack renders and the artwork. The three videos are broken down frame by frame on how many GTA 6 trailers there are.
The gaps
Seventeen months between the first trailer and the second. Just under sixteen between the second and the Extended Look. And the launch date, 19 November 2026, is twelve weeks after the Extended Look. Rockstar has released one video a year and a bit, and the game is now closer than any of those gaps. That is not a prediction; it is the spacing so far, and Rockstar has never announced these in advance.
What “GTA 6 Trailer 3” on YouTube actually is
Three things, none of them Rockstar’s. A fan-made concept trailer, cut from the existing footage and sometimes from other games. A re-upload of the Extended Look under a title that people search for. Or a reaction video with the words in the thumbnail. An official trailer is easy to tell apart: it appears on rockstargames.com/VI/media and on the Newswire the same day, and on Rockstar’s own channel. If it is not in those three places, it is not a trailer.
Where a third one would appear, and what we would do
The media page first, then the Newswire, then the channel. We check the media page when we date this answer — the date at the top of the page is the last time we looked. If a new video lands, it goes through the same process as the other three: frames pulled at full resolution, every vehicle, place, weapon and sign measured against the frame, and the readable ones added to the database. How we work describes it. The two trailers and the Extended Look took days each; the machinery exists now, so the next one should take hours.
The question underneath: will there be one before launch?
Nobody outside Rockstar knows, and the spacing above is the only evidence there is. What can be said is what a launch trailer has looked like from this studio before: a short cut released in the last days before a game ships, announced on the Newswire without a countdown. If one comes for GTA 6, it may or may not carry a number, and the number is the least important thing about it; what matters to this site is that it is new footage, and new footage means new frames to measure. The date at the top of this page is the last time we looked, and it moves every time we do.
What we do not know
- Whether any further footage lands before 19 November. Rockstar has announced each of the three without warning.
- Whether a launch trailer, if there is one, would carry a number at all.
Where this comes from
Every claim above rests on one of these. Anything marked the platform holder is Sony or Microsoft describing their own store or hardware, not Rockstar. Anything marked reported is somebody else telling us what Rockstar said, and is treated as weaker than Rockstar saying it.
