GTA 6 questions, answered

Every answer on this page starts with the answer. Under each one is the reasoning, and under that the source it rests on — with a date, and with the difference marked between Rockstar saying something and somebody reporting that Rockstar said it.

There is a reason to do it this way. In the weeks before a release this size, the gap between "confirmed" and "widely repeated" collapses, and pages that read identically are describing completely different qualities of evidence. A price that Take-Two published in an investor release and an install size that somebody deduced from a leak should not look the same on the screen, so here they do not.

Where the answer is that nobody knows, the page says that first and then tells you where the real number will appear and when. That is the case for the file size, for anything about a PC version, and for every question about an online mode.

  • When does GTA 6 come out?

    Thursday 19 November 2026, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Rockstar set that date on 6 November 2025 and has not moved it since.

  • How long until GTA 6 comes out?

    GTA 6 launches on Thursday 19 November 2026. There is no single worldwide moment: it unlocks at local midnight per store region, starting in New Zealand at 11:00 UTC on 18 November. The timer below counts down to your own midnight, or to the store region you pick.

  • How many times has GTA 6 been delayed?

    Twice. A 2025 window became 26 May 2026 on 2 May 2025, and that became 19 November 2026 on 6 November 2025. No third delay has been announced, and the game has never been cancelled.

  • Can you pre-order GTA 6, and where?

    Yes, since 25 June 2026. Both editions are on the PlayStation Store, the Microsoft Store, the Rockstar Games Store and at retail. Digital pre-loading opens 12 November 2026.

  • How much does GTA 6 cost?

    $79.99 for the standard edition and $99.99 for the Ultimate Edition, on both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Those are the US prices in Take-Two's own announcement of 24 June 2026.

  • Which GTA 6 editions are there?

    Two editions of the game. The standard edition at $79.99 and the Ultimate Edition at $99.99. The $399.99 Goodtime State – Vice City Collection that Rockstar put on sale on 24 September 2026 is a box of merchandise, not a third edition: the game is sold separately.

  • Which vehicles come with the GTA 6 Ultimate Edition?

    Five, plus a Ganado build and a car collection, and a sixth in the pre-order pack. The Ultimate Edition carries the '95 Grotti Cheetah, the Shitzu Squalo, the '67 Vapid Dominator Buggy, and a Dinka Enduro and a Crest Kayak for Jason's safehouse, with a retro build for his Vapid Ganado and a Classic Car Collection to restore. The '55 Vapid Stanier comes with the Vintage Vice City Pack, which is separate.

  • What consoles will GTA 6 be on?

    PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Not PlayStation 4, not Xbox One, not Switch 2, and not PC on launch day.

  • Will GTA 6 be on PC?

    Not on 19 November 2026, and no PC version has been announced at all. There is no date, no store page and no system requirements — only Rockstar's history of bringing GTA to PC later.

  • Will GTA 6 be cross-platform?

    Rockstar has said nothing about crossplay, either way. No multiplayer mode has been announced either, so at launch there is nothing to play across platforms.

  • Will GTA 6 have an online mode?

    Nothing has been announced. No name, no date, no description. Everything Rockstar has published about GTA 6 describes a single-player game with Jason and Lucia.

  • How many GB will GTA 6 be?

    No official figure exists. Not on the PlayStation Store listing, not on the Microsoft Store listing, not on the Newswire. The first number worth believing appears when pre-loading opens on 12 November 2026.

  • Where is GTA 6 set?

    The state of Leonida, with Vice City at its centre — Rockstar's own words since the first trailer. Leonida stands in for Florida and Vice City for Miami.

  • Is there a GTA 6 map yet?

    Only on paper so far. On 24 September 2026 Rockstar announced a full map of Leonida on the back of a poster in its $399.99 Goodtime State merchandise box. There is no standalone or interactive map, and Rockstar has given no figure for the size. What exists here is six named regions, three counties and, at the last count, fifty-four named places, every one read off official material and shown with the frame it came from.

  • How many GTA 6 trailers are there?

    Three pieces of official footage: Trailer 1 (4 December 2023), Trailer 2 (6 May 2025) and An Extended Look (27 August 2026). Rockstar has never published anything called Trailer 3.

  • Is there a GTA 6 Trailer 3?

    No. As of 22 September 2026 Rockstar has published Trailer 1, Trailer 2 and An Extended Look, and nothing called Trailer 3. The game launches twelve weeks after that last video.

  • How much did GTA 6 cost to make?

    Nobody outside Rockstar knows, and Rockstar has never said. The figures in circulation are analyst estimates. What is documented is different and more interesting: Rockstar North's own filed accounts.

  • What is the fastest car in GTA 6?

    Nobody knows yet. No official performance figures exist and the game is not out. Two supercars have been seen, the Grotti Cheetah and an unnamed red mid-engine car, and neither has a number. From launch day this page ranks measured top speeds from named testers, each with the video and the timecode, plus our own PS5 runs for the super class.

  • Does GTA 6 have a physical copy?

    Yes, but there is no disc. Take-Two's pre-order announcement of 24 June 2026 says the physical version contains a download code inside the box and goes on sale from 12 November 2026 to support pre-loading, a week before the 19 November launch.

  • What are the GTA 6 system requirements?

    There are none, because there is no PC version. GTA 6 launches 19 November 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S only; Rockstar has not announced a PC release, let alone specs for one.

  • Will GTA 6 run at 60fps?

    Not at launch, on current information. Rockstar North co-studio head Rob Nelson is reported to have told visiting content creators in August 2026 that the console builds were running at 30fps during development, with no 60fps mode confirmed for day one. Rockstar itself has published no frame-rate figure.

  • What time does GTA 6 release in each region?

    There is no single worldwide moment. PlayStation Store listings unlock GTA 6 at local midnight on 19 November 2026, region by region: New Zealand first at 11:00 UTC on 18 November, Mexico and Central America last, 19 hours later. Countries with several time zones get one national timestamp. Pre-loading opens 12 November.

  • Does GTA 6 run differently on Xbox Series S or PS5 Pro?

    GTA 6 is confirmed for PS5, PS5 Pro, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, the same game and editions on all four. Sony's store lists it as PS5 Pro Enhanced without numbers; Rockstar has published no console-specific figures for any of the four.

  • Are there cheat codes in GTA 6?

    Almost certainly, once it launches, but none exist yet. Rockstar has not published a single GTA 6 cheat, and the game has not released. Every list claiming otherwise before 19 November 2026 is invented.

  • What songs are in the GTA 6 soundtrack?

    No station tracklist yet. 21 licensed songs are on record across the two trailers and the Extended Look, and on 17 September 2026 Rockstar announced Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album: 34 original tracks, six of them named, out on 19 November. Rockstar has not said which songs play in the game, no station lineup has been published and no composer has been named.

  • Who are the voice actors in GTA 6?

    One actor has confirmed he is in the game: Stephen Root, on 13 September 2026, to an Associated Press reporter. He did not say which character he plays, and Rockstar has still credited nobody, for any role.

  • Does GTA 6 have real car brands?

    No. Every vehicle carries a fictional manufacturer, as in every Grand Theft Auto before it. Thirteen of those manufacturers are named or legible in official material so far, on 17 of the 132 vehicles with a page here, and Take-Two's chief executive has ruled out real-world brands in the game entirely.
