GTA 6, answered
Are there cheat codes in GTA 6?
Short answer
Almost certainly, once it launches, but none exist yet. Rockstar has not published a single GTA 6 cheat, and the game has not released. Every list claiming otherwise before 19 November 2026 is invented.
Sources last checked 16 September 2026
If you have found a page listing exact GTA 6 cheat codes before 19 November 2026, it is wrong. Not incomplete, wrong: the game has not shipped, and Rockstar has not published a single code for it.
What is actually known
Nothing specific. Rockstar has not confirmed a cheat system for GTA 6, has not said how codes would be entered, and has not named a single effect. Its product page, Take-Two’s pre-order announcement and both storefront listings say nothing about cheats at all. Anything presented online as a working GTA 6 code right now is either carried over from Grand Theft Auto V, invented, or both.
Why cheats are still a safe bet
Every mainline Grand Theft Auto since Grand Theft Auto III has shipped with a single-player cheat system, entered as a button combination or by dialling a number on the in-game phone, depending on the title, and Rockstar’s own support site carries the lists. That is a pattern in Rockstar’s own back catalogue rather than anything specific to GTA 6, so it is a reasonable expectation and nothing more. The pattern is less helpful on money: Grand Theft Auto III and San Andreas had a money cheat, Grand Theft Auto IV and V did not, so there is no basis for expecting one either way.
The question underneath: will cheats cost you anything?
In Grand Theft Auto V they do, and Rockstar says so itself: its support page on saving and achievements while using cheat codes says that cheats disable trophies and achievements for the current session. That is the one concrete thing about cheats on this page that comes from Rockstar, and it is about a different game. Whether GTA 6 does the same, whether a cheated session can be saved, and whether any code carries over between the two games are all unknown, and the last one is the most confidently answered wrong elsewhere: there is no basis for assuming a GTA V code does anything in GTA 6.
What we will do at launch
We will not publish a guessed list before release, and we will not carry codes lifted from GTA V relabelled as GTA 6. Once the game is out, the list lives on its own page, GTA 6 cheat codes, and every code on it will be one we have entered ourselves against the release build, checked that it does what it claims, and dated, with the entry method and the platform it was tested on. If GTA 6 disables trophies and achievements the way GTA V does, we will say so next to the code rather than in fine print at the bottom of the page, and if a code is patched out later, it stays on the page with the date it stopped working.
What we do not know
- Whether GTA 6 has a cheat system at all.
- How codes would be entered, if they exist.
- A single confirmed effect, code or in-game name for any cheat.
- Whether cheats affect saving, trophies or achievements in GTA 6.
- Whether any code from Grand Theft Auto V carries over. Nothing published suggests it, and the two games share no announced system.
Where this comes from
Every claim above rests on one of these. Anything marked the platform holder is Sony or Microsoft describing their own store or hardware, not Rockstar. Anything marked reported is somebody else telling us what Rockstar said, and is treated as weaker than Rockstar saying it.
