No GTA 6 cheat code has been entered here yet. The game is not out, Rockstar has published none, and on the date above its product page and Take-Two's pre-order announcement did not contain the word. The first entry appears once we have typed a code into the release build and watched what it did.

Nothing is confirmed. Rockstar has not said that GTA 6 has a cheat system, has not described how a code would be entered, and has not named a single effect. Its product page, Take-Two’s pre-order announcement and both storefront listings do not mention cheats at all. Any page offering working GTA 6 codes today is carrying codes from Grand Theft Auto V under a new heading, or inventing them. The sources for each of those statements, and the reasons cheats remain a safe bet anyway, are on the answer page: will GTA 6 have cheats? That page answers the question. This one is the list.
What this page becomes on launch day
From 19 November, one entry per code, and nothing that has not been through the same test. Each entry carries:
- the effect, in the words the game uses for it where the game names it;
- the exact input, per platform, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, the two platforms Rockstar has announced;
- the date we entered it in the release build, and the build it was tested on;
- whether entering it disables trophies and achievements for the session, as Rockstar’s support site says cheats do in Grand Theft Auto V;
- whether it survived later patches. A code that stops working stays on the page with the date it stopped.
The list at the top of this page has a search box, a platform filter and a copy button on each code; they switch on with the first entry. Until a code has been entered here, it is not on the list, and the list says on its face when it was last checked.
What we will not do
We will not publish a guessed list before release to have something on the page. We will not carry codes lifted from Grand Theft Auto V relabelled as GTA 6; nothing published suggests they carry over, and the two games share no announced system. We will not print a code from a leak, a video or a forum until we have typed it in and watched what happened. A list of cheats is only useful if every line on it works, and the only way to know that is to try it.
What we do not know
- Whether GTA 6 has a cheat system at all.
- How codes would be entered: button combinations, the in-game phone, or something new.
- A single confirmed effect, code or in-game name.
- Whether cheats affect saving, trophies or achievements in GTA 6 as they do in Grand Theft Auto V.
- Whether a PC version follows, and with it PC entry methods. Rockstar has announced none.
