Short version: this site has no analytics, no advertising, no tracking pixels and no third-party embeds. If you read a page here and do not send us anything, we learn nothing about you beyond what our web host records in its server log.
That is not a stance we adopted for a privacy page. It is what the site actually is, and the rest of this page describes the small number of exceptions.
What we collect
If you use the contact form
The form asks for a name, an email address and a message. Those three things are emailed to info@gtaplaybook.com and are not stored in this website’s database. They stay in that mailbox for as long as the correspondence is useful, and you can ask us to delete them at any time.
We use your email address to reply to you. We do not add it to a mailing list, and we do not pass it to anyone else.
Server logs
Our web host records standard access logs: IP address, date and time, the page requested, the referring page and your browser’s user-agent string. This happens for every website on the internet and is needed to run and secure a server. We do not use these logs to build a profile of you and they are not combined with anything else.
That is the complete list
Specifically, this site does not use:
- Google Analytics or any other analytics package
- advertising, ad networks, or retargeting
- social media buttons, embedded video players or comment widgets
- Google Fonts — the typefaces are served from our own server, so your browser never makes a request to Google to read this page
- a newsletter or mailing list
Cookies
Visitors are not given cookies. See the cookie statement for the detail, which is short.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us for a copy of any personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. In practice that means the contents of a mailbox, because that is the only place anything is kept.
Use the contact form, or write to info@gtaplaybook.com, and we will deal with it. Either route reaches the same mailbox.
You also have the right to complain to your national data protection authority; in the Netherlands, where this site is run from, that is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
Links to other sites
Where we link out — to GTABase for a vehicle name, for example — that site has its own privacy policy and we have no control over it.
Changes
If this site starts doing something that affects your privacy, such as opening a newsletter, this page will be updated before that happens and the date below will change.
