GTA Playbook

GTA Playbook is an independent site. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or connected to Rockstar Games, Take-Two Interactive, or any of their subsidiaries.

The imagery

Grand Theft Auto, Grand Theft Auto VI, Rockstar Games and all related names, logos, characters and imagery are trademarks and copyright of Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. and its subsidiaries. We claim no ownership of any of it.

Every image on this site is a still from material Rockstar published themselves: the two trailers, the Extended Look, the official press pack and the cover art. They are reproduced here for the purpose of reporting, review and commentary — the images are the evidence for the claims made next to them, and the claims would not be checkable without them.

Each still is shown with its source and, where the source is video, its timecode. Where the page describes one part of an image, a box is drawn over the region being described so it is clear what is being pointed at and what is not.

If you represent Rockstar Games or Take-Two and want an image removed, write to us and we will take it down. We would rather have the conversation than the argument.

What we do own

The dataset is ours: the catalogue of sightings, the measured crop coordinates, the source and timecode records, the classifications, and the written descriptions on each page. That work took a long time and did not exist before.

If you want to use it, ask. We will almost certainly say yes to anyone who credits it and links back — the point of measuring all this was that somebody could rely on it. What we object to is the dataset being scraped, stripped of its provenance and republished as loose facts, because provenance is the only thing that makes it worth anything.

Names taken from elsewhere

Some vehicle names on this site come from GTABase, a community database that had them catalogued before we did. Those names are theirs, they are marked as theirs on the pages that use them, and we are grateful for the work.
