GTA 6, answered
Is there a GTA 6 map yet?
Short answer
No. Rockstar has not published a map of Leonida, and has given no figure for its size. What exists is six named regions and fifty-five named places, every one read off official footage and shown with the frame it came from.

Every “GTA 6 map” you can find online is one of two things: a fan reconstruction, or a leak. Rockstar has released neither a map nor a size, and this site does not use leaks. What it does use is everything Rockstar has shown, and that is enough to draw the outline of the state without guessing at its edges.
What Rockstar has actually shown
The state is called Leonida, and it stands in for Florida. Vice City sits at its centre and stands in for Miami. Both names are Rockstar’s, from the first trailer onward; the real-world models are ours, and they are the obvious reading of the Everglades, the art deco beachfront, the keys chain and the panhandle in the footage. The full reasoning is on where GTA 6 is set.
Within Leonida, Rockstar’s own press screenshots are filed under six regions. That division is theirs, not ours, and each has a page with every official image of it:
- Vice City: the city itself, and the one photographed most.
- Leonida Keys: the island chain to the south.
- Port Gellhorn: the coastal town in the north-west.
- Mount Kalaga National Park: forest and high ground.
- Grassrivers: the wetlands, with airboats and stilt houses.
- Ambrosia: inland and industrial.
Below the regions, the footage names three counties on signs and badges: Kelly County, Dale County and Ambrosia County. Where the county lines fall, and how they relate to the six regions, is not something the footage tells you.
Below that sit the places. A place gets a page here when its name is legible in official material, on a sign, a neon, a banner or a shop front. That rule gives fifty-five of them, from the VICE CITY sign to a pawn shop in two languages, and all of them are on the locations index.
How big is the GTA 6 map?
Rockstar has published no figure. Not in square kilometres, not as a multiple of Grand Theft Auto V, not as a count of regions. Every number in circulation is derived from leaked material or from measuring trailer footage against a guess at the camera’s height, and neither method produces something you could defend.
What the footage supports saying is narrower and more useful: the map is a state rather than a city. Grand Theft Auto: Vice City in 2002 was the city and nothing else. This time the city is one of six regions, with a swamp, a mountain park, a keys chain and an industrial interior around it, and the Extended Look drives between them without a loading screen.
Will there be an interactive GTA 6 map?
Yes, here, after launch. An interactive map needs the game, not the trailers: it needs coordinates, and the only coordinates that exist today are the ones Rockstar’s own minimap shows for a few seconds at a time. From 19 November 2026 the fifty-five named places on this site become pins on a map built from the game’s own map screen, with community mapping used where it is sourced and dated, and the frame each place was read from stays attached to its pin.
What we do not know
- The size of the map, in any unit.
- Whether the six regions are the whole state or the parts shown so far.
- Where the boundaries between regions and counties fall.
- Whether any region is locked at the start of the game.
- Whether there is anything beyond the mainland and the Keys.
When Rockstar publishes a map, this page changes the same day, with the old text kept visible above the new one.
Where this comes from
Every claim above rests on one of these. Anything marked the platform holder is Sony or Microsoft describing their own store or hardware, not Rockstar. Anything marked reported is somebody else telling us what Rockstar said, and is treated as weaker than Rockstar saying it.
