GTA 6, answered
What songs are in the GTA 6 soundtrack?
Short answer
No full tracklist yet, but Rockstar's own trailers and the Extended Look have put 21 licensed songs on record across three reveals, from Tom Petty to Depeche Mode. No radio station has been named in a press release.

Rockstar has not published a GTA 6 soundtrack or a radio-station lineup. What it has done is put real, licensed songs into three official reveals, and those are the only songs this page treats as confirmed. Everything else circulating online is a leak, a rumour, or an artist’s own claim Rockstar has not backed, and none of that belongs here.
Trailer 1, December 2023
One song carries the entire first trailer: Tom Petty’s “Love Is a Long Road” (1989), a deep cut rather than one of his singles, playing under the footage from the opening shot to the close.
Trailer 2, May 2025
Trailer 2 layers in several tracks rather than leaning on one. The Pointer Sisters’ “Hot Together” (1986) is the anchor, arriving around the 1:04 mark; Jay Ferguson’s “Thunder Island” (1977) opens the trailer near the 0:06 mark; and Zenglen’s “Child Support” (2004), a Haitian konpa track, plays around 0:27 while Jason is driving. Reporting on the trailer has also identified Wang Chung’s “Everybody Have Fun Tonight” (1986) on a car radio, Tammy Wynette’s “Talkin’ to Myself Again” (1987) and a version of “I Love Rock ‘n’ Roll”, putting the trailer’s count at six songs on top of Trailer 1’s one. The Pointer Sisters track is the one everybody agrees on; the other five are identified by ear in reporting, which is the same standard as reading a shop sign off a frame, but it is worth knowing which is which.
Extended Look, August 2026
Rockstar’s 26-minute gameplay reveal, GTA 6: An Extended Look, premiered on Netflix on 27 August 2026 at 3pm ET before arriving on YouTube and Rockstar’s own site six hours later. Running underneath the PS5 footage, it added 14 more licensed songs to the confirmed total, including Birdman featuring Lil Wayne’s “Pop Bottles”, !!!’s “Off the Grid”, Depeche Mode’s “People Are People” and Phil Collins’ “Against All Odds”, spanning five decades and several genres; Game Rant’s list with timecodes is the one we checked against. That brings the confirmed total across all three reveals to 21 songs, with no overlap between them.
The one station name so far: V-Rock, reported
No radio station has been named in a press release. What has been reported, and what fan references describe, is Jason wearing a t-shirt with an updated version of the V-Rock logo, the hard rock station from the original Vice City, in footage on Rockstar’s own GTA VI site. That would be exactly the kind of evidence this site uses for everything else, a detail Rockstar itself put in the frame. We have not yet cut a frame of it ourselves, so until we do it is filed here as reported rather than as a sighting. Nothing else about the station lineup is confirmed.
What appearing in a trailer does and does not mean
A song playing over a trailer is not the same as a song playing on an in-game radio station. Most songs used in GTA trailers have gone on to appear in the finished game, so the 21 tracks are a reasonable preview of the soundtrack’s range, but Rockstar has not assigned a single one of them to a specific station, and the trailer selection says nothing about the dozens of additional songs a launch soundtrack this size will need.
What we do not know
- The full tracklist, for any station.
- How many stations GTA 6 will launch with.
- Any station name, V-Rock included, from Rockstar itself.
- Whether all 21 trailer songs make the final in-game cut.
Where this comes from
Every claim above rests on one of these. Anything marked the platform holder is Sony or Microsoft describing their own store or hardware, not Rockstar. Anything marked reported is somebody else telling us what Rockstar said, and is treated as weaker than Rockstar saying it.
