GTA 6, answered
What are the GTA 6 system requirements?
Short answer
There are none, because there is no PC version. GTA 6 launches 19 November 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S only; Rockstar has not announced a PC release, let alone specs for one.
Sources last checked 23 September 2026
GTA 6 has no system requirements, because there is no PC version to have requirements for. Any page giving you a CPU, a GPU and a minimum RAM figure is guessing.
What Rockstar has confirmed
GTA 6 launches on 19 November 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Rockstar’s own product page and Take-Two’s pre-order announcement list those two console families and nothing else, and on 23 September 2026 the only store listings in existence were the PlayStation Store’s and the Microsoft Store’s, both for consoles. A Windows version is absent from every official listing. That is a statement about launch platforms, not a promise that a PC version will never exist, but as of this check Rockstar has not named one, given a window for one, or published a single specification for one.
What a real requirements sheet looks like
Rockstar publishes one itself, and the last two are on its own Newswire. For Grand Theft Auto V the specifications arrived in January 2015 in the same post that set the PC release date, headed “GTAV PC: New Release Date, First Screens and System Specs”. For Red Dead Redemption 2 they arrived in October 2019 with the pre-purchase announcement, a month before the PC release, and sit on Rockstar Support to this day. In both cases the sheet came from Rockstar, with the date, and not before the date. A GTA 6 sheet, when there is one, will look the same: a Newswire post with minimum and recommended specifications, on the day a PC version is announced or shortly after it. Any table you see before that post exists was written by someone who has not seen the game run on a PC.
When a PC version might arrive
Nobody outside Rockstar knows, and Rockstar has said nothing. The only precedent is Rockstar’s own: Grand Theft Auto V reached PC on 14 April 2015, nineteen months after its console launch, and Red Dead Redemption 2 on 5 November 2019, just over a year after its. Our PC page follows that question, and what any date you read online is actually based on. This page follows the specifications, and there are none.
The question underneath: can my PC run it?
Not today, on any PC, because there is nothing to run. When a version is announced, the question becomes answerable from Rockstar’s sheet and from nothing else; until then the honest thing a site can do with “GTA 6 system requirements” is say that the search has no answer, and point at where the answer will come from. It will come from the Rockstar Newswire, it will name a date, and this page will carry the sheet the same day, with the source linked.
What we do not know
- Whether a PC version is in development at all.
- A release window of any kind.
- Minimum, recommended or high-end specifications.
- Whether a PC release would target 60fps where the consoles do not; see whether GTA 6 runs at 60fps for what is known on the confirmed platforms.
Where this comes from
Every claim above rests on one of these. Anything marked the platform holder is Sony or Microsoft describing their own store or hardware, not Rockstar. Anything marked reported is somebody else telling us what Rockstar said, and is treated as weaker than Rockstar saying it.
