GTA 6, answered

Is there a GTA 6 map yet?

Short answer

Only on paper so far. On 24 September 2026 Rockstar announced a full map of Leonida on the back of a poster in its $399.99 Goodtime State merchandise box. There is no standalone or interactive map, and Rockstar has given no figure for the size. What exists here is six named regions, three counties and, at the last count, fifty-four named places, every one read off official material and shown with the frame it came from.

Rockstar has published one GTA 6 map so far: a poster in the $399.99 Goodtime State box, with no size given; the footage shows six regions, three counties and the named places below.

Region by region, every named place is on the GTA 6 map page.

Rockstar’s map is on a poster

On 24 September 2026 Rockstar put Grand Theft Auto VI: The Goodtime State – Vice City Collection up for pre-order in its own store: a $399.99 box of merchandise, with the game “sold separately”. One of the items is a double-sided souvenir poster, and Rockstar’s store page describes the back as “a full view of the Leonida map”. That is the first map of the state Rockstar has put its name to. It is a printed poster, not a standalone or interactive map, and the store page gives it no scale and no size. Kotaku reports that the box arrives on 19 November, the same day as the game; the store page itself gives no date. What else is in the box is on the editions page.

Names that circulated from an earlier product photo of the poster, which Rockstar replaced within hours, are not on this page: a name Rockstar withdrew is not a name Rockstar published. They are on the claims register as unconfirmed.

The rest of this page is what it was: everything Rockstar has shown in its footage and screenshots, which is enough to draw the outline of the state without guessing at its edges. Fan reconstructions and leaks are still not used here.

What Rockstar has actually shown

The state is called Leonida, and it stands in for Florida. Vice City sits at its centre and stands in for Miami. Both names are Rockstar’s, from the first trailer onward; the real-world models are ours, and they are the obvious reading of the Everglades, the art deco beachfront, the keys chain and the panhandle in the footage. The full reasoning is on where GTA 6 is set.

Within Leonida, the file names in the screenshot bundle on Rockstar’s own media page sort the press screenshots under six regions: Vice City, Leonida Keys, Port Gellhorn, Mount Kalaga National Park, Grassrivers and Ambrosia. Below the regions, the footage names three counties on signs and badges: Kelly County, Vice-Dale County and Ambrosia County. Each has a page, and the map page lists every named place under its region, with how big the map is and what it does not show yet.

Will there be an interactive GTA 6 map?

Yes, here, after launch. An interactive map needs the game, not the trailers: it needs coordinates, and the only coordinates that exist today are the ones Rockstar’s own minimap shows for a few seconds at a time; the minimap page shows what it displays and what it does not. From 19 November 2026 the named places on this site become pins on a map built from the game’s own map screen, with community mapping used where it is sourced and dated, and the frame each place was read from stays attached to its pin.

Rockstar announced a map on 24 September 2026 and this page changed on 28 September, with the old opening kept visible below. When Rockstar publishes a size, or a map outside the merchandise box, this page changes again the same way.

Correction, 28 September

Until 28 September 2026 this page opened: Every “GTA 6 map” you can find online is one of two things: a fan reconstruction, or a leak. Rockstar has released neither a map nor a size, and this site does not use leaks. The map half of that stopped being true on 24 September, and this page promised to change the same day. It changed four days late, on 28 September, and the old sentence stays here so you can see what it said.

Where this comes from

Every claim above rests on one of these. Anything marked the platform holder is Sony or Microsoft describing their own store or hardware, not Rockstar. Anything marked reported is somebody else telling us what Rockstar said, and is treated as weaker than Rockstar saying it.
