When does GTA 6 come out?

Rockstar set 19 November 2026 on 6 November 2025 and has not moved it since. It is a Thursday, which matters less than it sounds: Rockstar has shipped on Tuesdays before, and the day tells you nothing about the hour.

What is actually fixed

• The date. Thursday 19 November 2026, stated on Rockstar’s own product page and in the Newswire post that set it.
• The platforms. PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Nothing else — see what consoles GTA 6 is on.
• Pre-loading. 12 November 2026 for digital pre-orders, one week ahead, in Take-Two’s own announcement.
• The physical box. Also 12 November, and it contains a download code rather than a disc.

What is not fixed, and nobody is telling you

There is no published unlock time. Rockstar has not said whether the game opens at midnight local, at a single global moment, or on the storefront’s usual schedule for that region. Every countdown clock you can find, including the one in the corner of this site, is counting to a date and not to a moment.

That distinction is worth holding onto for the week of the 19th, because the difference between a midnight local unlock and a synchronised one is several hours for most of the world.

Has anything changed since the last delay?

This is the question underneath the question, so here is the honest version. Two things are different from the position before either previous slip, and both are facts rather than readings:

• Rockstar is taking money. Pre-orders opened on 25 June 2026, and both previous delays were announced while nothing was on sale.
• Rockstar has published a pre-load date. That is a logistics commitment to two storefronts, not a marketing line.

What that does not give you is a guarantee. Both earlier delays were announced on the Newswire with no warning, roughly six months out each time; we are now inside sixty-five days. Draw from that what you like — we are not going to dress up an inference as news.

What we will do

If the date moves, it will move on the Rockstar Newswire first, and this page changes the same day with the announcement quoted and the old date left visible above it. The delay history is kept for exactly that reason: a page that quietly rewrites itself is worth nothing.
