How many GTA 6 trailers are there?
Short answer
Three pieces of official footage: Trailer 1 (4 December 2023), Trailer 2 (6 May 2025) and An Extended Look (27 August 2026). Rockstar has never published anything called Trailer 3.

Two numbered trailers and one longer showcase. Nothing has ever been published under the name “Trailer 3”, which is the actual answer to the question a lot of people are typing.
Trailer 1 — 4 December 2023
Released a day earlier than Rockstar had announced, after it leaked. It introduces Lucia, it establishes Vice City and the state of Leonida, and it closes on a card reading Coming 2025 — a date that has since moved twice.
We hold 42 frames from it and have logged 44 sightings in them.
Trailer 2 — 6 May 2025
Four days after the first delay was announced. Much wider than the first: more of the state, more vehicles, more of Jason.
45 frames, 59 sightings. This is where a large share of the vehicle database comes from, including the explosion frame at 1:57.93 that cost us an afternoon to identify.
An Extended Look — 27 August 2026
Not a trailer, and Rockstar did not call it one. It premiered on Netflix at 3pm ET and went up on YouTube and Rockstar’s own site at 9pm ET the same evening. It is the longest continuous piece of GTA 6 footage that exists and the closest thing to a gameplay reveal.
54 frames, 159 sightings — more than both trailers together.
So is there a Trailer 3?
No. Rockstar has never published anything with that name, and the Extended Look is what arrived in the window where a lot of people expected one. If you have seen a “Trailer 3” thumbnail, it is somebody’s edit, a concept piece, or a re-upload of the Extended Look under a more searchable title.
The two sources that are not videos
Worth knowing, because between them they account for nearly half of everything on this site:
- The press pack — 99 screenshots at 3840×2160, the only 4K source we have. 240 sightings.
- The cover art and key art — 16 images, 1 sighting.

What we do not know
- Whether any further footage lands before 19 November. Rockstar announces these without warning.
- Whether the Extended Look is the last of it.

Every claim above rests on one of these. Anything marked reported is somebody else telling us what Rockstar said, and is treated as weaker than Rockstar saying it.
