One Eyed Willie

A four-door open-top pickup with a brush bar, a winch and all-terrain tyres, shown twice in Rockstar's Ultimate Edition renders: once wrapped in a fanged green monster and once plain, up on its own bonnet in a body shop. CANIS reads on the grille. The name One Eyed Willie is Rockstar's, from the file names, and not something the pictures say.

A four-door pickup with a short bed and no roof over the cabin, just a bar running fore and aft above the doors. The nose carries a heavy tubular bar around the grille, a winch with its cable led through a fairlead, a D-ring at each corner of the bumper and a skid plate underneath. Two round lamps sit on each side of the grille, a large one outboard and a smaller one inboard, with a light bar above.

CANIS is cut into a silver panel across the grille, flanked by red slots, and it reads letter by letter. The centre cap of each wheel carries a small logo that does not read at this size. WARNING is painted in yellow capitals across the front bumper. The tyres are lettered ALL TERRAIN, with a size marking below it that does not come apart.

Two of the three renders show the truck painted a flat, hard green and airbrushed over the flank and bonnet with a fanged head, yellow eye, bared teeth, a long snout, and speckled with black over the paint. The third shows what appears to be the same vehicle with none of that: plain bright green, no artwork, silver wheels, bonnet propped open in a body shop with three people working on it, and a small gold plaque on the front door whose lettering does not read. That is the frame carrying a number plate, in the Gloriana pattern with a green bird between the groups: it reads 0E5 63T, and the bands above and below the number are under the height this site reads by.

Canis is the series' Jeep-pattern marque, GTA 5's Mesa and Bodhi both carried the badge, and a four-door open pickup on all-terrain tyres is the truck the badge would sit on today. The name One Eyed Willie is Rockstar's, from the file names of the renders, and nothing on the truck spells it.

The frame is a still from the official Official render, which carries no timecode. It is 3840 by 2160, and the vehicle occupies 3379 by 1641 of it.

What we still do not know

• The name. One Eyed Willie comes from Rockstar's own file name for these renders (ULTIMATE_EDITION_ONE_EYED_WILLIE_01.jpg). Nothing in the pictures spells it, so we do not know whether it names the model, the paint job or this one truck.
• Whether the wrapped truck and the plain one in the shop are the same vehicle or the same model in two states. The silhouette, the bar, the bumper and the grille match; the paint and the wheels do not.
• Whether the monster artwork is a preset or a one-off for the render.
• Everything measured: top speed, handling, where it spawns

A note on this record

Rebuilt on 22 September 2026 against the 4K renders, with a reading record on both crops. Two readings did not survive the floor: the CANIS the page had on the wheel centres is a logo a few pixels across, and the state bands on the plate are under the height this site reads by, so both are now recorded as not read here. CANIS on the grille, WARNING on the bumper, ALL TERRAIN on the tyres and the plate number 0E5 63T all hold.
