'67 Vapid Dominator Buggy

A sixties muscle coupe lifted onto tractor tyres, with a roof light bar, a tubular bull bar and a skid plate under the nose. Rockstar names it the '67 Vapid Dominator Buggy; nothing on the bodywork says so.

The base is a two-door coupe of the late sixties, and almost everything below the waist has been replaced. It stands on four deep-tread tractor tyres on plain steel rims gone to rust, the arches cut and flared to clear them, with the suspension raised far enough that the body sits well clear of the tyres.

A tubular bar wraps the nose and carries two yellow driving lamps; a flat skid plate hangs below it. Four round lamps sit on a bar across the roof. The round headlamp on the near side is taped over with an X; the far one is at an angle where we cannot say. The paint is a dark blue gone chalky, with a wide yellow stripe over the bonnet and roof, and the whole car is dusty and spattered with dried mud.

The flank carries hand-painted lettering reading PARTS BOUGHT AND SOLD, with a phone line under it too small to read, a circular competition roundel with the number 6, a small round workshop crest on the door, and a badge on the front wing that does not resolve. A fourth render shows the interior: a three-spoke steering wheel with a Vapid badge on the boss, a large speedometer in miles and a large clock either side of the column with a third dial half behind the rim, one small fuel gauge to the left of them, and a padded dash rather than bare metal.

Dominator is Vapid's muscle-car nameplate, in GTA 5 on a modern Mustang-pattern coupe; the '67 in Rockstar's name for this one puts it two generations earlier, on the car the modern one is imagined to descend from. Nothing on the bodywork spells either word, and the name is Rockstar's, from the alt text and the file names of the renders.

What we know

These renders sit in the download bundle Rockstar’s media page calls Ultimate Edition Benefits, with every file prefixed ULTIMATE_EDITION_. On that filing the Dominator Buggy is bonus content in the $99.99 Ultimate Edition.

It has not appeared in any trailer, in the Extended Look or in the press screenshots, so whether the base game carries a Dominator Buggy of its own is not something we can answer.

What we still do not know

• We have not seen this vehicle in either trailer, in the Extended Look or in the press screenshots. This page is built from four studio renders on Rockstar's own site, made for the Ultimate Edition, so we cannot say how it looks or behaves in the game.
• Nothing on the bodywork carries the make or the model. The name is Rockstar's word, taken from its own alt text and file names, and not something we can read off the car.
• Whether Dominator here is the same nameplate as the modern coupe whose dial we read as DOMINATOR, or a separate car sharing the name
• Whether the buggy conversion is a fixed build or something a player assembles
• Everything measured: top speed, acceleration, handling, price, where it spawns

A note on this record

Rebuilt on 22 September 2026 against the 4K render, with a reading record on the crop. The check of the same morning stands: two large dials and one small gauge on a padded dash, and the taped X clear on the near-side headlamp only. Two claims the check could not decide, a fastback roofline and sills above the tyre tops, have come out rather than stayed as guesses. The crop was lowered on 20 September because it cut the front tyre off at the ground.
