Shitzu Squalo

A white sports cruiser of about thirty feet with Squalo and a shark-fin mark on the hull. It comes from Rockstar's Ultimate Edition renders, under a name Rockstar itself uses, and it is the first Shitzu on file.

The hull is white with a sheerline that sweeps up towards a raked, wraparound screen. A long oval vent grille with vertical slats is set into the topsides just ahead of the cockpit, and a cleat sits on the gunwale above it. Squalo is written on the flank in a heavy rounded script with only the S as a capital, and a filled shark-fin shape stands in front of the word. On the screen pillar above sits a small teardrop badge with a fin motif; the word under it is too small to read on the render, and Shitzu comes from Rockstar's own naming of the boat rather than from that badge.

In the wide render the boat is running past the city at dusk with two people at the helm, a man in a white shirt and a woman in dark blue. It wears the Ultimate Edition finish: a pink-to-blue gradient over the white with a pale palm-frond pattern across it. A registration is painted on the bow topsides, reading VB 0522 05. Two outrigger rods stand up from the stern quarters, a bow rail runs forward from the screen, a green navigation light shows on the port side of the arch, and a yellow tank is strapped to the swim platform.

A third render looks down on the aft deck, where there is a sun pad over the engine box, a cooler and a boarding platform at the transom, with dolphins alongside. A fourth is a top-down shot of the Squalo running between two other boats, which gives its proportions against them.

Shitzu is one of the series' older boat builders, and the Squalo was a Shitzu in GTA 5, so the nameplate returns rather than arrives. The GTA 5 boat was an open speedboat; this is a cabin cruiser with a raked screen and a sun pad, so it is the name coming back on a different hull.

How to recognise it

• Squalo in heavy rounded script with a shark-fin mark ahead of it
• Teardrop badge with a fin motif on the screen pillar; its lettering does not read at this size
• Registration VB 0522 05 on the topsides, forward of the screen
• Long oval vent grille with vertical slats in the topsides
• Raked wraparound screen and a sheerline that sweeps up to it
• Outrigger rods at the stern quarters, bow rail forward
• Sun pad over the engine box and a boarding platform at the transom

What we know

The four renders of this boat come from a download bundle Rockstar’s media page calls Ultimate Edition Benefits, and the files inside it are prefixed ULTIMATE_EDITION_. That makes the Squalo bonus content in the $99.99 Ultimate Edition, on Rockstar’s own filing rather than on anybody’s reading of it.

We have not seen this boat in either trailer, in the Extended Look or in the press screenshots, so we cannot say whether the Ultimate Edition version differs from a boat the base game also carries.

• We have not seen this boat in either trailer, in the Extended Look or in the press screenshots. This page is built from four studio renders on Rockstar's own site, made for the Ultimate Edition, so we cannot say how it looks or behaves in the game.
• Whether the gradient finish is the pre-order livery over a plain white boat, or the only scheme
• Whether Shitzu builds anything else in this game. This is the only one on file
• The donor. The proportions read as a thirty-foot sports cruiser and we are not narrowing it further from renders
• Everything measured: top speed, handling, price, where it spawns

A note on this record

Rebuilt on 22 September 2026 against the 4K renders, with a reading record on both crops. One thing changed. The page read SHITZU off the badge on the screen pillar; on the true pixel grid that word is about ten pixels high and does not pass the floor this site reads by, so the maker's name now rests on Rockstar's own naming of the boat, in the alt text of its media page, which carries it. The check of 20 September stands: the registration VB 0522 05 is on the page, and the crop was widened for the outriggers.
