Crest Kayak

A one-person sit-in kayak with crest in white lowercase on the hull, paddled on a Mount Kalaga river in the press stills in orange and in the Extended Look in green. The name is Rockstar's, and it is on the boat.

The clearest look is the sixth of the press pack’s Mount Kalaga stills, taken from just behind and beside the paddler at water level. The hull is orange moulded plastic, and on its flank sits the maker’s mark: an arc of curved lines, then crest in white lowercase, then a run of small characters at the foot of the word, with a swoosh underlining the lot. On the true pixel grid the word reads letter by letter, and the small characters after it do not. Aft of the cockpit, behind the paddler, a dark oval hatch sits under bungee rigging, a black carry handle sits on the stern, and a thin deck line and a dark strap run over the deck near the bow.

The cockpit is a large open one, and the paddler sits in it with their legs forward: a khaki bucket hat, a red buoyancy aid with black webbing, a light blue long-sleeved top, khaki shorts and sandals. The paddle is a two-blade in the same orange as the hull, on a dark shaft, mid-stroke on the right and throwing water. Behind are rocky banks, trees and two concrete piers; the bridge they carry, with a train on it, is in the full frame on the kayaking page.

The Extended Look has a second one at 17:28.93, and it is green. The camera sits behind a woman in a black bikini, in daylight; the deck behind her, between the camera and the cockpit, is a black moulded section with a round screw hatch, the wave mark from the maker’s logo printed on it, and bungee cords crossed over it, with crest in white on both sides of the green hull. The same frame, whole on the kayaking page, puts her on a city waterway. A second crop from it holds a yellow kayak with a black deck section of its own and no lettering on the part in view, so it shows the class and not the name.

Crest Kayak is also the name Rockstar itself uses for this boat, in the alt text of its own site, so the lettering confirms a name rather than supplying it. Its product page uses the name too, for one of Jason’s safehouse vehicles in the Ultimate Edition: an Army fatigue-tinged Dinka Enduro motorcycle or Crest Kayak. The series has not had a kayak before: GTA 5’s small craft were the Dinghy and the Seashark. Whether the three colours are three liveries of one kayak or three boats is not something the frames settle.

The frame is Extended Look at 17:28.93. It is 3840 by 2160, and the vehicle occupies 844 by 734 of it. Also in it: the elevated rail viaduct, a motor yacht, and a water taxi.

A note on this record

Rebuilt on 22 September 2026 against the 4K masters, with a reading record on four crops. The page had folded two kayaks into one and then corrected itself against the wrong boat: it described the orange press-still kayak, and a check on 20 September measured the green Extended Look kayak and declared the hull green and the paddle orange. Both boats are real and both are now on the page in their own colours. The bow handle went with the same check, on the grounds that the bow was out of frame; on the press still the bow is in frame and there are grab handles at both ends. The yellow kayak is in the Extended Look frame, not further up the river. The colour measurements have moved to the sighting record. Checked again on 25 September 2026 at 1:1 on all four crops. The hatch is behind the paddler on both boats, on the stern deck, not forward of the cockpit. The paddle shaft is dark, not pale. There is a carry handle at the stern and a deck line near the bow, not grab handles moulded in at both ends. The small characters on the orange hull stand after crest, not under it. The Extended Look frame is in daylight, not at dusk, and the city waterway and the bridge now sit in links to the kayaking page, which carries both frames whole. GTA 5's smallest craft was the Seashark, not the Dinghy.
