Wooden-deck speedboat

The boat the police helicopter is chasing in Trailer 2, filmed from directly overhead: a planked timber foredeck, two seats, a screen on the dash and someone turned around in the cockpit.

The camera is directly above the boat and slightly astern, which gives an unusually complete look at a deck layout. The foredeck is planked in timber running fore and aft, with a flush hatch set into it and a fitting near the stem; a row of small chrome deck fittings runs along both gunwales.

The cockpit is open. A black dash carries a rectangular screen in the centre with round instruments and switch panels beside it, and the wheel sits in front of the starboard seat. Two pale bucket seats stand side by side. Behind them a figure is leaning back across the aft bench facing the way the boat has come, which is the detail that makes this a chase rather than a cruise. Two grey bench panels close off the aft deck, and the transom is planked in timber to match the bow.

Wake is streaming off both quarters and the sun is low enough to turn the spray orange. The police helicopter is off to the right in the same frame.

The frame is Trailer 2 at 2:27.30. It is 1920 by 1080, and the vehicle occupies 404 by 616 of it. Also in it: a police helicopter.

• Whether the timber is real planking or a finish over moulded deck
• Who is aboard, and whether this is a scripted chase
• Everything measured: top speed, handling, price, where it spawns

A note on this record

The crop on this record was re-measured on 14 September 2026. The original box sat too far to the left and held mostly wake, with three quarters of the boat outside it.
