What the community calls it
Widely identified as the Bravado Bison 1800.
GTABase files a marked police pickup for GTA 6 as the Bison 1800 (Police), with Bravado as the manufacturer and a Ram 1500 (DT) as the donor, and it is the only police pickup on their list. Our own crop is 172 pixels wide. It carries a word, a colour and a light bar, and no badge at any point. We pass their identification on because it is the one in circulation; it is not something this site has read.
What supports it
- The word POLICE is legible along the side, so the vehicle really is a marked unit and not a civilian pickup.
- The body is a crew-cab pickup with an open bed, black wheel arches and a low dark band, which is the configuration their entry describes.
- A second source names this shot. A wiki puts a Vice Beach Police Department Bison 1800 at the roadblock in the Extended Look at 15:43, alongside two Vice-Dale Montagnes and a Buffalo STX Pursuit. Our frame is that roadblock, at 15:43.27, and the pickup is the only pickup in it.
What does not
- The 1800 in that name has no support in our image at all. Both frames were re-read on the 3840 by 2160 master at true pixel scale on 21 September 2026, over the bonnet, the door panel, the bed side, the rear quarter and the tailgate. What the truck carries is VICEBEACH, POLICE and the unit number L89429. There is no model designation and no maker's badge anywhere on it.
- At 172 by 86 pixels there is no badge, no grille detail and no tailgate in our frame. Nothing here could separate this pickup from any other police pickup.
- 1800 is a number we have not read ourselves. The same wiki says the badge sits on the hood and is visible in one Extended Look scene, where a police truck is shot at and overturns. We have not found that frame and measured it.
- A second police pickup already has its own record on this site, read from a sharper frame. We cannot rule out that these are the same vehicle.
- Two sources, one picture. The wiki names this exact screenshot; GTABase names the vehicle and no picture at all. Together that is enough for the title to say what other people call it, and nowhere near enough for us to call it that ourselves.

A marked police pickup standing at the kerb while a pursuit goes past it: a dark body with one light door panel, VICEBEACH over POLICE on that panel, and a unit number on the bed.
Until 18 September 2026 this page called the truck white. It is not. Read off the 3840 by 2160 master rather than the 1920 copy we had been working from, the bonnet, the bed, the rear quarter and the cab roof are all charcoal; what is light is a single panel over the front wing and the door, and that panel is what carries the lettering. At 1920 the panel filled most of the visible flank and the dark bodywork below it read as a band along the sill, which is how the description came to be the other way round.
On that panel, VICEBEACH sits in small capitals above POLICE in large ones, both in dark letters. The bed side carries a unit number, L89429, and a second sighting in the same shot reads it the same way. A dark light bar runs across the cab roof and a red lamp burns at the rear corner. The wheels are dark five-spokes and the tyres are square-shouldered.
It is standing still. Three units are already on the scene at 15:43.27 when a fourth car goes past in pursuit of a dark green saloon, and this one is at the kerb with the others, not moving. A police helicopter is in the same frame, above the rooftops.
The second sighting, at 14:00.07, is a side view of the same body during a different incident: crew cab, open bed, the same two-tone. Between the frames there is no grille badge, no tailgate and no door crest.

A note on this record
This page was called a white police pickup until 18 September 2026 and the old address redirects here. The colour was read from a copy at half the linear resolution of Rockstar's original; on the original the truck is dark with one light door panel. It is the second thing our re-read round caught of this kind, and the reason we are now putting every published page back in front of its own frame at full size.
