Police car

The best look we have at a marked police car: a white sedan with a green stripe and a gold star on the door, coming at the camera hard enough to blur the background, in a Jason and Lucia press image. The same record's second car, black with pink lettering, stands on a street with neon signs at night.

The car is a low, wide four-door sedan and it is being driven, right behind the dirt bike Jason and Lucia are on. The body is white with a green band running along the flank, and a gold star badge in an oval sits on the front door. POLICE runs in green across the bonnet, flattened by the low camera into six streaks that still separate. Over the roof runs a full-width light bar with blue and red segments burning.

The front is worth the crop on its own. A dark tubular upright stands at the centre of the nose with a red strobe set into it. The headlight housings are dark with a bright signature running around them in a squared-off C, and the amber turn indicator is lit inside. A spotlight on a pillar mount stands by the driver’s A-pillar. The wheels are dark multi-spoke alloys.

The front plate is legible: a pale yellow plate carrying an eight-figure number that reads 02756557, soft from the motion but digit by digit, with smaller text above and below it that does not resolve. Through the windscreen a cage partition is visible behind the front seats, along with a screen mounted on the dash. Palms and a pale building blur past behind it.

The record’s second sighting is the black-and-white on a street with neon signs at night, posed outside the Ocean View Hotel with two police officers and four women around it. Its lettering is pink and white: VICEBEACH POLICE across the rear bumper and again, smaller, on the boot lid beside two glyphs, EMERGENCY CAL and, below it, 911 on the flank, the rest of that line and half the last digit behind one of the women, and a plate reading NWT V5. Whether it is the same model as the green-striped car in a second department’s colours, or a second model, the two frames do not settle; the record keeps them together and this page says so. A third appearance, a white car with a light bar under the scan lines of the Weazel News aerial shot in Trailer 1, is too small to read anything off.

GTA 5’s black-and-whites were marked for the Los Santos police department. Here one car carries a star whose legend does not read and the other spells out a district, VICEBEACH, on boot and bumper. A police helicopter in Trailer 2 is lettered VICE-DALE, and whether it flies for the same force as either car is open. Two liveries in two frames is thin ground for a department map, and the page leaves it there.

• The name, and the manufacturer
• Whether the two cars are one model in two liveries
• Whether the centre upright is standard or one configuration
• Everything measured: top speed, handling, where it spawns

A note on this record

Corrected on 20 and 22 September 2026: the plate reads 02756557 digit by digit; the nose carries a single dark upright with a strobe, not a push bar across the bumper. On 25 September 2026 the large VICEBEACH POLICE moved from the rear quarter to the rear bumper, where it is, and the helicopter over the white car is no longer tied to Vice-Dale: nothing in that frame names it.
