Police car

Name not confirmed

Rockstar has not named this vehicle

So we describe it by what is actually visible in the footage. We do not invent a name to fill the gap.

When the real name is confirmed, this page moves to that name and this address keeps working.

Detail 1459 × 1080 px
Press pack · snt-00016 · usable frame · front-three-quarter · 1459 × 1080 px © Rockstar Games The whole frame at 3840 × 2160, scaled down to fit — never enlarged. The box marks the crop exactly as we measured it, and that crop is the detail alongside, at its true size.

The best look we have at a marked police car: a white sedan with a green stripe and a gold star on the door, coming at the camera hard enough to blur the background.

The car is a low, wide four-door sedan and it is being driven. The body is white with a green band running along the flank, and a gold star badge in an oval sits on the front door. POLICE is set in green across the bonnet. Over the roof runs a full-width light bar with blue and red segments burning.

The front is worth the crop on its own. A black tubular push bar is bolted across the bumper. The headlight housings are dark with a bright LED signature running around them in a squared-off C, and the amber turn indicator is lit inside. A spotlight on a pillar mount stands by the driver's A-pillar. The wheels are dark multi-spoke alloys.

The front plate is legible: a pale yellow plate carrying an eight-figure number that reads as 02756557, with smaller text above and below it that does not resolve. Through the windscreen a cage partition is visible behind the front seats, along with a screen mounted on the dash. Palms and a pale building blur past behind.

How to recognise it

  • White body with a green band along the flank
  • Gold star badge in an oval on the front door, POLICE in green on the bonnet
  • Full-width roof light bar, blue and red segments lit
  • Black tubular push bar across the front bumper
  • Pillar-mounted spotlight by the driver's A-pillar
  • Pale front plate with an eight-figure number reading as 02756557
  • Cage partition and a dash-mounted screen visible through the windscreen

The frame it comes from

The frame is a still from the official Press pack, which carries no timecode. It is 3840 by 2160, and the vehicle occupies 1459 by 1080 of it. Also in it: Maibatsu Manchez, Jason Duval, and Lucia Caminos.

What we still do not know

  • The department. The star has a legend around it that this crop will not give up, and the police helicopter in Trailer 2 reads Vice-Dale.
  • The name, and the manufacturer
  • Whether the push bar is standard or one configuration
  • Everything measured: top speed, handling, where it spawns
