Rideout Customs

Rideout Customs in Rockstar's render: a yellow two-door with a black vinyl roof on red axle stands, a mechanic's legs on a creeper under it, a second man with an orange clipboard at the wing, a work light on a stand, and a red saloon up on a two-post lift behind

A workshop with a yellow coupe up on axle stands, one mechanic underneath it on a creeper and another alongside with a clipboard. The name is Rockstar's, from the file name; nothing in the picture spells it.

What the render shows

A long, square-shouldered yellow two-door with a black vinyl roof, sitting nose-up on red axle stands with its front wheel off the ground. The wheels are slotted steel discs with a small centre cap. The paint is matt and patchy along the lower body, which reads as work in progress rather than a finish, and a chrome strip runs the length of the flank.

Two men are working on it. One is under the car on a creeper, visible only as legs at the left edge. The other stands at the front wing in a blue work shirt and glasses, a tattoo down one forearm, writing on an orange clipboard. A work light on a stand throws a hard white pool across the floor.

Behind them a red saloon is up on a two-post lift with its exhaust and floorpan exposed; its boot carries a badge and two runs of lettering, and a plate with an orange device in it, all too small for this site to read. There is a rack of tyres and parts against the right wall, a red extinguisher and a round wall fitting on the pillar at the left, and a second post lift standing empty beyond. This is a working shop rather than a showroom.

Name ground: Rideout Customs comes from Rockstar's file name for this render. No sign, no overall and no paperwork in the frame carries it, so we cannot show you the name; we can only tell you where it comes from. GTA 5's Los Santos Customs was the counterpart, a chain shop with a lift and a counter; this render shows a back-street workshop, and whether it is a shop the player uses is not something a render says.

How to recognise it

  • A yellow two-door with a black vinyl roof on red axle stands, front wheel off
  • Slotted steel wheel discs on the yellow car
  • A mechanic on a creeper under the car and a second with an orange clipboard
  • A red saloon on a two-post lift behind, and a rack of tyres and parts on the right wall
  • A work light on a stand throwing a white pool across the floor

The frame it comes from

The frame is a still from the official Official render, which carries no timecode. It is 3840 by 2160, and the subject occupies 2380 by 1296 of it.

What we still do not know

  • The name itself. It is Rockstar's file name, not something the picture states.
  • What the yellow car is: the body is in shot but no badge or grille detail comes apart.
  • What the red car on the lift is: its boot lettering sits under the reading floor.
  • Whether this is a player-facing shop or set dressing.
