Brian’s Boat Works & Marina
A name that turns up on three things in the frames we have: across the crown of a cap Jason wears, along the fuselage of a seaplane, and in full on a painted sign over a boat shed, with a phone number under it.
The sign is the clearest. At 1:25 of Trailer 2 the camera looks into a green corrugated boat shed at night, lamps burning either side of the doors and a floatplane at its open front: a man in a cap has one foot up on its float, two figures bend over beside it, and another man stands in the doorway on the left, his back to us. The board over the doors reads Brian’s in blue script with a wave under it, Boat Works & Marina beneath in bold, a line of services under that, and a phone number, 786-555-0109, along the foot. All four lines read on the true pixel grid.
Jason wears the name in the press pack, on a white-fronted cap with a mesh back: Brian’s reads across the crown, and the smaller line under it is below this site’s floor for lettering and is not read there, though its length and shape match the sign.
The same blue lettering runs along the fuselage of the single-engine floatplane in another press image, off the left edge of the picture: that crop holds an apostrophe and an s above and the last letters of Marina below.
Brian Heder is one of the eight named characters, and Rockstar’s own page for him calls him a drug runner from the golden age of smuggling in the Keys who is still moving product through his boat yard, and says he lets Jason live at one of his properties in return for help with local shakedowns. It does not name the yard. That the yard is this one is the obvious reading rather than a stated fact, which is why it stays in the open questions rather than in this paragraph.
How to recognise it
- Brian's in blue script over Boat Works & Marina on a painted board above a boat shed
- A services line and the phone number 786-555-0109 under the name
- Brian's across the crown of a cap Jason wears
- Blue lettering along a seaplane fuselage, running off the left edge, of which that crop holds an apostrophe with an s and the end of Marina
- A first name shared with the character Brian Heder
The frame it comes from
The frame is a still from the official Press pack, which carries no timecode. It is 3840 by 2160, and the subject occupies 364 by 1274 of it. Also in it: a single-engine floatplane, a police boat, and Jason Duval.
How this was measured
| Source | Press pack |
|---|---|
| Frame | 3840 × 2160 |
| Crop | 364 × 1274 — a small part of the frame |
| Image check | 25 September 2026 — checked |
| Text check | 28 September 2026 — 56 claims read against the image, 8 corrected |
| Read at | the true pixel grid, 1:1 |
| Lettering | Letter height | Contrast | Reads |
|---|---|---|---|
| Brian's Boat Works & Marina | — | — | in part |
| Brian's | 105 px | — | every character |
| Boat Works & Marina | 30 px | — | every character |
| Boat Repairs, Equipment & Storage | 25 px | — | every character |
| 786-555-0109 | 55 px | — | every character |
| the smaller line under the name on the cap | 17 px | — | no |
These figures come from the dataset, not from the prose above. We measure everything and claim what counts. How we work
What we still do not know
- Whether this is the boat yard Rockstar gives Brian Heder
- Whether Jason works there
- Whether the marina is enterable
- Whether the seaplane belongs to the business
A note on this record
Until 22 September 2026 this page had the cap carrying the full name; the sign does, the cap does not at this size. On 25 September 2026 the crop at 1:25 was widened from the sign to the front of the shed, because the page describes the shed, the plane and the men; two figures bend over by the plane, not one at a pontoon; the bar Jason sits at is outside the cap crop; and the seaplane lettering runs off the left edge of the picture rather than behind Jason.
Every frame we have
Also in these frames
Measured in the same frames as the images above, but without a page of their own. Same rule as everywhere else: what the crop carries, with the source and the timecode. The ones whose frame no page shows are collected in the frame.
