Crew-cab pickup with roof marker lights

A silver pickup from directly behind on the highway, with a trailer hitched to it. The cab is a crew cab: the rear window is full width and there is a cabin visible behind it, with people in the back seats.

Three marker lights sit along the top of the cab roof above the rear window. The tailgate is flat and carries two pressed marks in its middle half, and only those two: a ring about twenty pixels across with a hexagonal centre, and a capital N. Between them and to either side the panel is flat — the relief map of the whole gate, x 900 to 1050 on the 3840 by 2160 master, shows nothing else. Whether the two belong to a longer word that the flat light does not reach is not something this frame answers. Read again on the master on 18 September and on 22 September; both times the same two.

The tail lights are vertical clusters at the outer corners, and each is banded three ways: red across the top, a pale clear panel in the middle, red across the bottom. An exhaust finisher sits under the bumper just right of centre — the tip measures 81, 74, 66 against a bumper of 62, 58, 48 and bodywork of 128, 124, 116, so it is darker than the paint and not the chrome this page called it. The bed sides are squared off with a straight top rail.

What we still do not know

• What the two pressed marks belong to. A ring with a hexagonal centre and a capital N sit twenty-five pixels apart in the middle of the gate, and the rest of the panel carries no relief at all. A brighter angle on the same truck would settle whether there is a word there.
• The whole front of the truck, which is pointed away from the camera.
