Truck with a pipe load

A semi-trailer truck with a load of large pipes, seen steeply from above and behind on the canyon road through Mount Kalaga National Park, with motorcycles, a pickup and a small SUV on the road around it.

The camera looks steeply down on the canyon road from above and behind the truck, high enough to see the full length of the vehicle and the traffic around it. A tractor unit is coupled to a long, low open trailer in a yellow-olive colour. Five motorcycles are on the road in the crop: two further up the road, one alongside the truck at its left, one just behind that, and one behind a white pickup with a rack on its roof; a small white SUV is level with the pickup in the other lane.

The load is the interesting part. Along the front of the deck lies a line of large pale cylinders, joined end to end. Behind them two more lie side by side with a third beside them, and the two show their ends to the camera: pale rings around dark centres, open at the end. At the rear of the deck a bundle of thinner pipes lies lengthwise under straps across it, which from this height reads as a grid, and low side rails run along the deck. An open, hollow end is what a pipe looks like; it is not what a tank looks like from any angle.

That matters, because this record was logged as a tanker and carried that name until 15 September 2026. This view is the only one we have, and the open ends are what settle it.
