White transit bus

A modern low-floor transit bus on the boulevard, nose to the left and a shelter behind it, in one of the Vice City press stills. Small in frame, and the only public transport we hold.

The bus sits in the far lane at the bottom of a 3840 by 2160 aerial view of a hotel district, nose to the left, and the crop we take from it is 441 pixels wide. It is a modern low-floor transit bus in white, on two axles, with no joint in the body. The livery is not a band along the windows: the whole roof panel is blue, a white band runs along the top of the window line beneath it, and low on the flank a red stripe sits over a blue lower panel, both sweeping up towards the rear. There is a light graphic on that blue panel which does not come apart into characters at full size.

The side is almost all glass: a long unbroken run of dark windows down the flank with passengers visible inside. Behind the last window the body steps up into a windowless white rear section carrying a black louvred panel on top — the engine tower of a rear-engined bus. At the front the windscreen wraps around the corner, a wing mirror stands out on an arm, and one headlight catches the sun at the lower corner. On the blue roof, about three quarters of the way back, sits a pale round device roughly thirteen pixels across; whether that is an emblem or a roof hatch, this image does not say.

A shelter with a green roof and a round sign stands on the pavement behind the bus, so it is at a stop or has just left one. Ahead of it in the same lane a dark estate car is stopped, with another dark car beyond that, and the lane arrow painted on the road points the way the bus is facing. Palms line the pavement and a blue sports car sits at the kerb below.

Two readings have come off this page. An earlier note called the bus articulated; from this height there is no joint to see in the body, and two axles argue against it. And until 22 September 2026 this page said the blue was a band along the window line, with a thinner red stripe under it. That is not where either colour is. It was written from a half-size copy; the 4K original puts the blue on the roof and the red down at the skirt.

The frame it comes from

The frame is a still from the official Press pack, which carries no timecode. It is 3840 by 2160, and the vehicle occupies 441 by 129 of it. Also in it: Vice City, Hotel Valetta, a building named Firefly Plaza, and a building named Firefly Plaza.

• The light graphic on the blue lower panel, which does not separate into characters
• The operator, and whether it carries a route number
• Whether it is drivable, and whether buses run a fixed route
• Everything measured: top speed, capacity, where it spawns

A note on this record

This page was titled Bus, with a capital B, because a published vehicle list files it that way. A species name in a list is not a model name off the bodywork, and since 17 September 2026 this site only capitalises a name it can source to Rockstar or read in the frame. There is no name on this bus, so the page now says what it is instead. No hypothesis block is attached: nobody is claiming a model name for it, and inventing an argument to have one would be worse than the plain description. The old address redirects here.
