An AR-pattern carbine in six crops across six frames, from a rooftop at night to a rifle in the colours of the US flag at 9:10 of the Extended Look. The maker's mark on one magazine sits under this site's floor for lettering, so the name stays off.

The appearances are not the same gun dressed the same way. On a rooftop at night in the fifth Jason Duval still he sights one under two hard coloured lights, teal from the left and warm from the right, and along one continuous piece of metal the colour walks from teal at the stock to gold at the front sight with a neutral barrel between them. That is two lamps on a grey gun, and the measurements that prove it sit on the sighting record. The rifle itself is the plainest of the set: a fixed carry handle of the older pattern with the rear sight in it, a triangular front sight tower, a ribbed round handguard, a straight box magazine, a collapsible stock, and a maker’s roundel with a short mark on the magazine well that is not read here.

Two stills from the Jason and Lucia set show two different set-ups. In one, in a dark room with police lights outside the window, he holds a black rifle with a suppressor on the muzzle, a weapon light on the quad-rail handguard, a small tube sight with a red lens on the flat-top receiver and a straight ribbed magazine; the light is the cylinder this page once called a vertical foregrip. In the other, in the middle of a jewellery store robbery, he holds his rifle upright with a weapon light on the handguard, a boxy holographic sight on the receiver and a collapsible stock, and no suppressor on the muzzle.

In the tenth Jason Duval still, in a hood under teal industrial light, the rifle is held upright with a vertical grip on the rail, and the magazine floorplate carries a roll mark of four characters beside a maker’s roundel, with the same roundel on the receiver beside the magazine well. The mark sits under this site’s floor for lettering, so it is not read here, and whether it names the maker of the Duke 556 Assault Rifle is an open question.

A fifth is fired from a side window of a car in the Extended Look at 14:00.07, with a tan magazine and a railed handguard, by a shooter whose head is a dark rounded shape, a cap or a helmet; the HUD in the same frame shows an assault rifle icon. The hunter’s rifle propped against a seat in the first Grassrivers still, with camouflage furniture and a long telescopic scope, is the same pattern. The carbine in the bank vault still has its own page, because whether it is this weapon is an editorial call and not a reading.

The sixth crop changes one thing. At 9:10 of the Extended Look a woman in a red bandana, beside a masked man with a machine pistol, carries an AR-pattern rifle low in both hands: its long railed handguard is blue with small white marks along it, and its upper is striped red and white, the colours of the US flag. This is daylight, not a coloured lamp, and the measurement on the sighting record puts the colour on the object, which is what the rooftop rifle turned out not to have.

The details that repeat are the ones that matter: a flat-top or carry-handle upper, a tubular or railed handguard, a straight box magazine with witness ribs, and a collapsible stock. That is the AR pattern, and the variations, suppressor, light and sights, sit on top of it. The rifle at 9:10 is the one here with a finish in colour, and nothing yet shows where such a finish is applied. GTA 5 called its version the Carbine Rifle, and the attachments here, suppressor, light and sights, are the kind that game let you bolt on at the counter.

A note on this record

Rebuilt on 22 September 2026 against the 4K masters, with a reading record on six crops. Two corrections. The cylinder under the rail of the jewellery-store rifle is a weapon light, not a vertical foregrip. And the count was wrong: five frames and six crops, not four appearances, once the Extended Look window and the hooded night still are counted. The colour measurements that stood in the text have moved to the sighting record. The withdrawal of 20 September stands: the turquoise was a lamp. Extended on 23 September 2026 with the stars-and-stripes rifle at 9:10 of the Extended Look, the first finish that measures as colour on the object. Until 20 September 2026 this page argued that the rooftop rifle proved a customisation system and named a pistol with a compensator as second evidence; both went the same day, and the rifle at 9:10 brought the first finish that measures as colour on the object on 23 September. Checked again on 25 September 2026 at 1:1 on all six crops. The dark-room still and the jewellery store are two scenes and two set-ups, not one: the suppressor belongs to the dark room, where the sight is a small tube with a red lens, and the holographic sight to the jewellery store, where there is no suppressor; the caption of the jewellery-store crop still called the light a foregrip. The crop count is six across six frames, not seven across six: the hunter's rifle is not shown here and now sits in a link to the Grassrivers page. The hood, the bandana, the masked man and the HUD lie outside this page's crops and now sit in links; the stock of the flag-coloured rifle is outside its crop, and the white marks on its handguard are too small to call stars. The shooter at the car window is no longer called helmeted, and the window no longer the passenger's. Later the same day, with the other weapon pages: two lines went that spoke for other material, calling this the most-photographed weapon in the official material and the only one there with a finish in colour. The line on GTA 5's Carbine Rifle and its counter attachments was taken out too and has been checked against the GTA Wiki since; it holds and is back.
