Compensated pistol

A stainless pistol with a ribbed collar at the muzzle and green fibre-optic sights, held low in Lucia's hand in a teal-lit frame from the Jason and Lucia press set.

The crop holds a hand, a forearm and the front half of the pistol, pointing down and towards the camera. The muzzle face shows two openings, the bore above and a smaller one below it, and behind them sits a collar with four ribs cut round it. A green fibre-optic dot sits on the front sight, and two more on the rear sight further back along the slide.

A compensator is the obvious reading of that collar and the frame does not confirm it: a barrel bushing and a plug can look the same from in front.

The whole press image settles whose hand it is: Lucia’s, shot from below under a strip light in a steel-clad interior, with her sunglasses pushed up into her hair, a plaid shirt tied round her waist and Jason at her shoulder in a white vest. Inside the crop the pistol hangs over that shirt, which is the red and white check under the muzzle, against a teal-lit wall.

Where it sits in the series: GTA 5’s pistols took a suppressor from the start, and a compensator arrived only later, as a muzzle attachment for the Pistol Mk II in GTA Online’s Gunrunning update. A collar that is part of the gun as carried, if that is what this is, would be new.

How to recognise it

A ribbed collar at the muzzle end, four ribs
Two openings at the muzzle face: the bore and a smaller one beneath
Green fibre-optic dots on the front and rear sights
Held low in Lucia's right hand, pointing down, over red and white check cloth

The frame it comes from

The frame is a still from the official Press pack, which carries no timecode. It is 3840 by 2160, and the subject occupies 691 by 648 of it. Also in it: Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos.

How this was measured

Source	Press pack
Frame	3840 × 2160
Crop	691 × 648 — a small part of the frame
Image check	25 September 2026 — crop checked against the frame
Text check	25 September 2026 — 20 claims read against the image, 2 corrected
Read at	the true pixel grid, 1:1

These figures come from the dataset, not from the prose above. We measure everything and claim what counts. How we work

What we still do not know

Whether the collar is a compensator or the gun’s own bushing. From in front the two look alike.
Whether it is the same pistol Lucia carries in the other frames of the press set

A note on this record

This page called the collar a compensator, fitted rather than machined, until 20 September 2026; neither half of that is visible. On 25 September 2026 the description of the wider press image moved into the link to Lucia's page, and the GTA 5 comparison was corrected: its pistols took a suppressor from the start.
