Starlet Motel

The sign is the full mid-century roadside type: a tall pole, an arrow outlined in bulbs curving over the top, Starlet in a neon script and MOTEL underneath in large block letters. Beneath that, a red VACANCY panel, and beneath that two more boards reading KING SIZE BEDS, LOW RATES and POOL & WIFI.

Behind it the motel itself is a low building with a red neon MOTEL arrow on the gable. A truck and a car are parked in front, and the light is the blue of just after sunset.

Everything about it is period-correct for the roadside motels the Florida panhandle actually has, which is what makes it fit Port Gellhorn.

The frame is a still from the official Press pack, which carries no timecode. It is 3840 by 2160, and the subject occupies 1075 by 1166 of it. Also in it: Port Gellhorn and a classic pickup.
