The concert hall on the square
A glazed, yellow-lit concert hall on the square in night-time Vice City. The marquee reads CONCERT HALL in full; the word in front of it is behind palm fronds, so we give the building a description rather than a name.
What the screenshot shows
A glass block of four visible levels, lit from inside in a strong yellow so that the grid of mullions and transoms stands out black against it. The roof slopes, with a glazed lantern set into it. A narrow glazed stair tower is attached on the right, lit the same way.
Under the glass runs a closed stone podium with an illuminated marquee across it, and under the marquee is the entrance, with people walking in. The marquee reads CONCERT HALL in full; its letters clear this site’s floor, and the height is in the lettering table. The word before it is covered by palm fronds and a column and does not read.
The white building to its left is The Sumerian, a different building with its own name on its own facade and its own page. The last visible character of the hidden word is an N, and the name next door ends in an N, so the obvious completion is that name followed by CONCERT HALL. It is a completion and not a reading, and the two names are on two buildings.
How to recognise it
- A glass block of four levels lit yellow from inside
- A sloping roof with a glazed lantern set into it
- A narrow glazed stair tower on the right side
- A stone podium with an illuminated marquee reading CONCERT HALL
The frame it comes from
The frame is a still from the official Press pack, which carries no timecode. It is 3840 by 2160, and the subject occupies 799 by 900 of it. Also in it: a street sign for Palaestra Tower, Vice City, Sahara Arena, Vice City Arts Center, The Sumerian, and the Galina opera house.
How this was measured

These figures come from the dataset, not from the prose above. We measure everything and claim what counts. How we work
What we still do not know
- The first word of the name. It is behind palm fronds in the only frame we have.
- Whether it belongs to The Sumerian next door or stands on its own.
- What is inside: nothing of the auditorium is visible.
Every frame we have
Also in these frames
Measured in the same frames as the images above, but without a page of their own. Same rule as everywhere else: what the crop carries, with the source and the timecode. The ones whose frame no page shows are collected in the frame.
