The shop is one unit in a painted parade: a glass front, a hand-lettered sign, and the words INCOME TAX visible in the glazing. Either side of it the walls carry large murals.

A storefront tax preparer is a very specific American business, seasonal and cash-driven, and putting one here is the kind of detail that makes a neighbourhood read as lived-in rather than generic.

It is one of the few businesses in the material that is neither food, drink nor vehicles.
