GTA 6 questions, answered

Every answer on this page starts with the answer. Under each one is the reasoning, and under that the source it rests on — with a date, and with the difference marked between Rockstar saying something and somebody reporting that Rockstar said it.

There is a reason to do it this way. In the weeks before a release this size, the gap between "confirmed" and "widely repeated" collapses, and pages that read identically are describing completely different qualities of evidence. A price that Take-Two published in an investor release and an install size that somebody deduced from a leak should not look the same on the screen, so here they do not.

Where the answer is that nobody knows, the page says that first and then tells you where the real number will appear and when. That is the case for the file size, for anything about a PC version, and for every question about an online mode.

  • When does GTA 6 come out?

    Thursday 19 November 2026, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Rockstar set that date on 6 November 2025 and has not moved it since.

  • How many times has GTA 6 been delayed?

    Twice. A 2025 window became 26 May 2026 on 2 May 2025, and that became 19 November 2026 on 6 November 2025. No third delay has been announced, and the game has never been cancelled.

  • Can you pre-order GTA 6, and where?

    Yes, since 25 June 2026. Both editions are on the PlayStation Store, the Microsoft Store, the Rockstar Games Store and at retail. Digital pre-loading opens 12 November 2026.

  • How much does GTA 6 cost?

    $79.99 for the standard edition and $99.99 for the Ultimate Edition, on both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Those are the US prices in Take-Two's own announcement of 24 June 2026.

  • Which GTA 6 editions are there?

    Two. The standard edition at $79.99 and the Ultimate Edition at $99.99. Rockstar has announced no collector's edition and no third tier.

  • What consoles will GTA 6 be on?

    PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Not PlayStation 4, not Xbox One, not Switch 2, and not PC on launch day.

  • Will GTA 6 be on PC?

    Not on 19 November 2026, and no PC version has been announced at all. There is no date, no store page and no system requirements — only Rockstar's history of bringing GTA to PC later.

  • Will GTA 6 be cross-platform?

    Rockstar has said nothing about crossplay, either way. No multiplayer mode has been announced either, so at launch there is nothing to play across platforms.

  • Will GTA 6 have an online mode?

    Nothing has been announced. No name, no date, no description. Everything Rockstar has published about GTA 6 describes a single-player game with Jason and Lucia.

  • How many GB will GTA 6 be?

    No official figure exists. Not on the PlayStation Store listing, not on the Microsoft Store listing, not on the Newswire. The first number worth believing appears when pre-loading opens on 12 November 2026.

  • Where is GTA 6 set?

  • How many GTA 6 trailers are there?

    Three pieces of official footage: Trailer 1 (4 December 2023), Trailer 2 (6 May 2025) and An Extended Look (27 August 2026). Rockstar has never published anything called Trailer 3.

  • How much did GTA 6 cost to make?
