Dirt bike on gold rims, up on its back wheel

A dirt bike stood vertical on its back wheel in the middle of a street parade, gold rims front and rear over blue-purple bodywork.

A dirt bike held almost vertical on its rear wheel, filling the left half of the frame and closest to the camera of anything in the shot. The front wheel is up at head height and spinning, and the whole machine is leaning slightly away as it passes.

The rims are gold, front and rear, on knobbly tyres. The bodywork is blue-purple: front mudguard, radiator shrouds and the number-plate area all in the same colour, with a white light or reflector on the front plate catching the sun. The frame, the swingarm and the rear shroud are a gold-orange that matches the rims. There is a chain and sprocket visible at the rear, and a black exhaust running under the seat.

The rider is standing with his weight back, in a maroon long-sleeved top and a tan and black helmet, one foot on the peg and the other out of sight. Around him the parade runs off up the road: a green motocross bike, another on purple rims, two quads and half a dozen more riders.

• Whether it is the same machine as the bike doing the same thing in the press pack. It is not, as far as the image goes: that one runs yellow rims with black and grey plastics and a yellow rear panel, and this one runs gold rims with blue-purple plastics.
• Everything measured: top speed, handling, where it spawns
