Where it sits

Nowhere Rockstar has said. The counties are not on rockstargames.com, which describes six regions and no county, and Rockstar has published no map. How Dale County relates to those six regions is unknown; the map question sets out what does and does not exist.

The name appears in exactly one official frame, the badge in Trailer 1. A badge is not a place, but it names a jurisdiction: the Dale County Sheriff’s Office, with the word CORRECTIONS above it. The correctional facility page carries it next to the frames of Lucia in custody. Whether the jail in those frames is a Dale County jail, or the Leonida Penitentiary that Rockstar’s page for Lucia Caminos mentions, the material does not say, so no place on this site is put inside Dale County yet.

What the frame shows

The badge is a five-pointed star with a circular centre carrying a state seal — palms, water, a sun. The lettering runs around the ring. The finish is gold with dark enamel and it fills most of the frame.

The important line is the last one. Dale County is a jurisdiction name, and it is one of at least three the material mentions alongside Ambrosia County and Kelly County. That is a map with counties in it, not just districts.

It also connects the prison to a named authority rather than a generic one.
