Bodycam footage
Police body-worn camera footage used as a camera angle in its own right, with the timestamp and unit number burnt into the corner.
The image has the look of a body camera and not of the game's own camera: a wide, slightly barrelled lens, blown highlights where the daylight comes through a doorway, and heavy compression in the shadows.
The overlay sits top right in a monospaced face. The first line reads 08-04 23:58.46 -0500 — a date, a time and a timezone offset. The second reads BODY 3 X6070511N, a unit and a serial. A yellow aperture mark sits beside them.
In the frame an officer in dark uniform has hold of a man in a pale vest in a narrow doorway, with a second figure behind them.
How to recognise it
- Wide, barrelled lens with blown highlights
- Monospaced overlay top right: date, time and timezone offset
- BODY 3 with a serial number on the second line
- A yellow aperture mark beside the overlay
The frame it comes from
The frame is Trailer 1 at 0:49.54. It is 1920 by 1080, and the subject occupies 1018 by 594 of it.
What we still do not know
- Whether bodycam is a cutscene device or something you can watch in play
- What the yellow aperture mark belongs to
- Whether the timestamp is in-fiction chronology or dressing
