Only Raw Records

A record label with its logo on a plaque behind the mixing desk: ONLY RAW RECORDS.

What Rockstar says about the label

Rockstar’s own site names the label twice. It calls Only Raw Records the venture that Boobie Ike is most invested in, a partnership with the young music mogul Dre’Quan Priest, and says the two of them still need a hit. Elsewhere on the same site it says Dre’Quan has signed Real Dimez. It never puts those two sentences together, so the duo recording for this label is the obvious reading rather than a stated fact.

No soundtrack or radio-station lineup has been published for GTA 6, so nothing is known about what this label’s artists would play on. The songs that are confirmed all come from the trailers and the Extended Look: see what songs are in the GTA 6 soundtrack.

What the frame shows

The plaque is mounted on the studio wall, dark with a pale logo above the name. It sits directly behind the desk where Dre'Quan Priest is photographed standing, and a multitrack session is open on a screen to the right.

The studio itself is properly equipped — a large-format console, monitors, a booth — rather than a bedroom setup.

Real Dimez are photographed at the microphones in what looks like the same room, though the material does not state that they record for this label.

How to recognise it

  • ONLY RAW RECORDS on a plaque with a logo above it
  • Mounted behind a large-format mixing console
  • A multitrack session open on a screen
  • Dre'Quan Priest standing at the desk in the same frame

The frame it comes from

The frame is a still from the official Press pack, which carries no timecode. It is 3840 by 2160, and the subject occupies 614 by 432 of it. Also in it: Dre'Quan Priest.

What we still do not know

  • Whether Real Dimez record for this label: Rockstar says Dre'Quan signed them, but not under which name
  • Whether the studio is enterable
  • Whether the music business is something you can run
  • Which artists, if any, turn up on the in-game radio
