A Spanish-language news channel with its bug in the corner of a broadcast at 1:04 of Trailer 1: Mega Noticias.

The logo sits bottom right over the picture the way a channel bug does: MEGA in white capitals, NOTICIAS in dark red on a white band beneath it, and under both a three-arc broadcast device. It is small next to the badge that fills the rest of the screen, but both lines separate on the true pixel grid. The whole thing is crossed by scan lines, because we are looking at a screen inside the scene rather than at the broadcast itself.

The bug sits over orange cloth. The broadcast it belongs to is on the Vice Dale County page, which carries the whole screen: a gold corrections badge filling the left, a purple-haired inmate in an orange jumpsuit with a tattooed face at the right, and a red progress bar at the bottom left.

A second news brand, in another language, is a real detail about the world: Vice City has a Spanish-speaking population large enough to support its own station, which matches the bilingual shop signage elsewhere in the material. Weazel News has a bulletin of its own a second earlier in the same trailer, a different story under its own lower third.

Nothing in the frame shows a studio or a building. GTA 5’s television had one news brand; a second one in Spanish is a change of scale as much as of language.

How to recognise it

  • MEGA in white over NOTICIAS in dark red on a white band
  • A three-arc broadcast device beneath the wordmark
  • Scan lines across it: a screen within the scene
  • A second news brand alongside Weazel News

The frame it comes from

The frame is Trailer 1 at 1:04.57. It is 3840 by 2160, and the subject occupies 364 by 356 of it. Also in it: Vice-Dale County.

How this was measured

Source Trailer 1, 1:04.57
Frame 3840 × 2160
Crop 364 × 356 — a small part of the frame
Image check 25 September 2026 — crop checked against the frame
Text check 25 September 2026 — 28 claims read against the image, 2 corrected
Read at the true pixel grid, 1:1
Lettering Letter height Contrast Reads
MEGA 65 px — every character
NOTICIAS 28 px — every character

These figures come from the dataset, not from the prose above. We measure everything and claim what counts. How we work

What we still do not know

  • Whether Mega Noticias runs the same stories as Weazel
  • Whether there is a station building
  • Whether in-game media is watchable on a television
  • How much of the world’s media is bilingual

A note on this record

On 25 September 2026 the broadcast behind the bug moved into the link to the page that carries it, since this crop holds only the logo; and the page no longer says Weazel News runs the same item, because its bulletin at 1:03 is a different story.
