Ambrosia County
A road sign for the Ambrosia County Sheriffs Office, without an apostrophe, with a smaller line in capitals beneath it, seen through heavy haze at the left edge of a Rockstar press image.
Where it sits
Nowhere Rockstar has said. The counties are not on rockstargames.com, which describes six regions and no county. How Ambrosia County relates to those six regions is unknown; the map question sets out what does and does not exist.
The name appears in exactly one official frame: this sign, in the Ambrosia press image in which the motorcycle club rides down the road towards it. That puts it in the Ambrosia sequence of the press pack; it does not say whether the county contains the region, or how far it runs. Rockstar’s description of Ambrosia mentions a refinery and a biker gang and no county.
What the frame shows
The sign is a dark board with rounded corners and white type, standing on twin posts at the left edge of the press image and softened by heavy haze: Ambrosia County over Sheriffs Office, with a third line in smaller capitals under them that sits below this site’s floor for lettering. The type is a plain sans serif, in capitals and lower case on the first two lines. Between the posts, below the board, a smaller light-coloured sign stands on a post of its own, its lettering too small to read at this size, and behind the board’s top right corner the crown of a palm shows as a silhouette in the haze.
The rest of the frame is described where it is shown whole: the full Ambrosia press image, in which the motorcycle club rides down the road towards this sign, and the club’s own page, which reads the riders’ cuts and the lettering on them. Nothing else from outside this crop is described here.
Ambrosia County is one of three county names in the frames we have, alongside Vice-Dale and Kelly, and it shares its name with the region Rockstar calls Ambrosia. A county sheriff’s office is the counterpart of the city police, and GTA 5 drew the same line between the Los Santos police and the Blaine County sheriff; whether the two behave differently here is not something a sign can say.
How to recognise it
- A dark board with rounded corners and white type on twin posts, seen through heavy haze
- Ambrosia County over Sheriffs Office, with no apostrophe, and a smaller line in capitals under that
- A smaller light-coloured sign on its own post between the two posts, and a palm silhouette behind the top right corner
The frame it comes from
The frame is a still from the official Press pack, which carries no timecode. It is 3840 by 2160, and the subject occupies 384 by 205 of it. Also in it: the Diversity'n'Treats billboard, Ambrosia, and a red and black cruiser.
How this was measured
| Source | Press pack |
|---|---|
| Frame | 3840 × 2160 |
| Crop | 384 × 205 — a very small part of the frame |
| Image check | 25 September 2026 — checked |
| Text check | 28 September 2026 — 40 claims read against the image, 6 corrected |
| Read at | the true pixel grid, 1:1 |
| Lettering | Letter height | Contrast | Reads |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ambrosia County | 22 px | — | every character |
| Sheriffs Office | 22 px | — | every character |
| the third line of the sign, in capitals | 18 px | — | no |
These figures come from the dataset, not from the prose above. We measure everything and claim what counts. How we work
What we still do not know
- Where the sheriff’s office actually is
- Whether county sheriffs behave differently from city police
- How the county relates to the region of Ambrosia
- Whether there are more counties
A note on this record
Until 22 September 2026 this page called the board the standard green-and-white highway type in one line and a dark sign in the next; it is dark. On 25 September 2026 the road, the verge, the highway and the motorcycle club came out of the page's own text, because they lie outside this crop; they now sit in links to the Ambrosia and Final Chapter MC pages, which carry the same frame. The line calling the sign and the club on one road a piece of staging went, as nothing in the image says so. The small sign between the posts had been called a speed-limit sign; its lettering is too small to read at this size. Ambrosia had been called a town in one place; the rest of this site treats it as one of the six regions on Rockstar's site.
Also in these frames
Measured in the same frames as the images above, but without a page of their own. Same rule as everywhere else: what the crop carries, with the source and the timecode. The ones whose frame no page shows are collected in the frame.
