Ammu-Nation
The gun-shop chain that has been in the series since Vice City, confirmed for GTA 6 by a television commercial playing in the background of Trailer 2.
It does not appear as a storefront you walk into. It appears on a flat-screen television in a stilt house over the water, with a games controller and two beer bottles on the table in front of it — a commercial, watched by nobody, in a room the camera is only passing through.
The sign hangs above the counter and reads AMMU-NATION with the star device between the two words, white type on a blue field with a red element above it. Behind the counter a slat wall carries around ten firearms, and a belt-fed machine gun lies on the glass counter with a green ammunition box beside it.
The presenter wears a black vest reading PHIL'S AMMU-NATION, which makes this a named branch rather than the chain in the abstract.
How to recognise it
- AMMU-NATION with the star device between the words
- White type on a blue field, red element above
- Slat wall behind the counter carrying around ten firearms
- Seen as a television commercial, not as a storefront
The frame it comes from
The frame is Trailer 2 at 2:11.87. It is 1920 by 1080, and the subject occupies 336 by 86 of it. Also in it: Phil's Ammu-Nation.
What we still do not know
- Whether the shops can be entered, and where they are on the map
- Whether the wall stock in the commercial reflects what is actually for sale
- What the commercial is selling — a sale, a branch opening, or the chain itself
