Trailer 2 · snt-00064 · 2:11.87 · placeholder frame · detail · 1363 × 831 px © Rockstar Games The frame at 3840 × 1732, scaled down to fit — never enlarged. It is delivered inside a 3840 × 2160 container and we have trimmed the letterbox, which is packaging rather than picture. The box marks the crop exactly as we measured it, and that crop is the detail alongside, at its true size.

A named Ammu-Nation branch, read off the presenter's vest in the commercial that plays on a television at 2:11 of Trailer 2.

The commercial plays on a television at 2:11 of Trailer 2, and this crop is the whole screen; the room around the set is outside it. On the screen the presenter stands behind the counter with his arms spread, mid-pitch, in front of the weapon wall: heavily built, moustache and mullet, tattooed arms, a dark vest.

The vest reads PHIL’S in red block capitals, every letter clear on the true pixel grid even through the television image. Under it runs a blue bar whose lettering does not separate at that size; the chain’s name is on the blue sign over the weapon wall behind him, read on the chain’s own page, and the name sits above his head, not on his chest.

Two women in red caps flank him, one holding a rifle. The slat wall carries rifles, shotguns and carbines; a fire extinguisher stands at the foot of the pillar, and a red sign on the pillar points down at it with a white arrow. On the glass counter in front of him lies a belt-fed machine gun with boxes of ammunition beside it.

Ammu-Nation has been the series’ gun chain since GTA 3, and GTA 5’s shops had no owner’s name over the door. A branch with a man’s name on it, and the man himself in a commercial, is the first time the chain has had a face.

How to recognise it

  • PHIL'S in red capitals on a dark vest, over a blue bar that does not read
  • A moustached presenter with a mullet, arms spread behind a glass counter
  • Two assistants in red caps, one holding a rifle
  • A commercial on a television, at 2:11 of Trailer 2

These figures come from the dataset, not from the prose above. We measure everything and claim what counts. How we work

What we still do not know

  • Whether Phil is a character you meet or only a name on a shirt
  • Where the branch is
  • Whether this is the same Phil the series has used before; nothing in the frame settles it

A note on this record

Until 22 September 2026 this page read the blue bar under PHIL'S as the chain's name; it does not separate, and the name is on the sign above his head. On 25 September 2026 the red box on the pillar turned out to be a sign with an arrow pointing down at the extinguisher, not a fire-alarm box, and the vest is called dark rather than black: through the television image it reads as charcoal.
