Diamond Dawgs
A jewellery shop named on its own fascia, DIAMOND DAWGS, in a cream single-storey block at 18:05 of the Extended Look, with an optician on the corner.
The fascia runs along a cream single-storey block. It reads DIAMOND DAWGS in dark serif capitals with a ring drawn over the I, and a second, smaller line beneath it that sits under this site’s floor for lettering and is not read here.
Below it the shopfront is glazed behind a dark canopy, with a recessed double door in a pale frame and a low hedge along the pavement, and two palm trunks stand in front of the block. At the right-hand end the block turns the corner in a rounded tower lettered EYE & DRY, with a pair of round spectacles drawn under the name: the neighbour is an optician, with red signs in its window. Part of a pink food truck shows at the left-hand end.
The rest of the frame belongs to other pages. A man in a black mask sits astride an orange sportbike at the kerb, with a woman in a teal jersey and a bag over her shoulder close by; a pink convertible is on the road behind them, and wanted stars sit in the top corner. At 18:01.00, under five seconds earlier, the camera was inside a jewellery shop during a robbery, which is why the two are recorded as the same place; the interior never shows the name.
How to recognise it
- DIAMOND DAWGS in dark serif capitals on a cream fascia, with a ring over the I
- A second, smaller line under the name, below the lettering floor
- A single-storey block with a glazed shopfront under a dark canopy and a hedge along the pavement
- EYE & DRY on the rounded corner tower, with spectacles drawn under it
The frame it comes from
The frame is Extended Look at 18:05.72. It is 3840 by 2160, and the subject occupies 1996 by 799 of it. Also in it: a nagasaki supersport in race livery and a pink classic convertible.
How this was measured
| Source | Extended Look, 18:05.72 |
|---|---|
| Frame | 3840 × 2160 |
| Crop | 1996 × 799 — a good part of the frame |
| Image check | 25 September 2026 — checked |
| Text check | 27 September 2026 — 28 claims read against the image, 5 corrected |
| Read at | the true pixel grid, 1:1 |
| Lettering | Letter height | Contrast | Reads |
|---|---|---|---|
| DIAMOND DAWGS | 36 px | — | every character |
| the second, smaller line under the name | 17 px | — | no |
| EYE & DRY | 52 px | — | every character |
These figures come from the dataset, not from the prose above. We measure everything and claim what counts. How we work
What we still do not know
- Whether this is certainly the shop robbed on the frame under five seconds earlier; the interior never shows the name
- What the second line under the name says
- Where the corner is on the map
- Whether the shop can be entered outside the mission
A note on this record
Until 22 September 2026 this page quoted the second line under the name in full and named the sign across the street; the second line is under the twenty-pixel floor and the far sign is cut by the frame edge. On 25 September 2026 the crop was widened from the fascia to the whole block, and the street scene moved into links to the pages that carry it.
