Josefina
JOSEFINA in magenta capitals on a white board, with a second line beneath it that does not resolve, seen twice in one shot of the Extended Look: at 16:53, and three seconds later above a red truck painted with a sun, a palm tree and a flamingo.
The name is in rounded capitals on a white board on the front of the building, with a smaller line under it in violet. Every letter, in both lines, has a grey shadow below it and to the left, so the letters may stand off the board rather than being painted on it; at this focus that cannot be told. Darker shadows fall across the white of the board itself from something out of shot. The board is on this building, so the name belongs to the place rather than pointing at one elsewhere. Above it the building rises in grey render, with a balcony railing directly over the board.
Both frames are soft. The camera holds focus on the foreground, and in the second frame the shoulder of a man in a black T-shirt fills the left of the crop, so the building is background and only the name, the largest lettering on it, comes through. The first crop holds the board and nothing below it, and in the second the shop front is hidden, so what the front of the shop looks like is not on this page.
At 16:56 a red truck is in front of the building and hides the shop front completely. Its side is painted with a sun, a palm tree and a flamingo over waves, with white stars, white capitals ending in IDA and yellow script beneath; whatever comes before IDA is behind the man’s sleeve. To the left of Josefina a green hedge carries a sign in white script ending in Deli, its first word half hidden behind his shoulder.
Josefina is the Spanish form of Josephine. What kind of business carries the name is not on the board: the rounded type reads more like a restaurant or a salon than a bar, but that is a guess from a typeface and nothing here settles it.
How to recognise it
- JOSEFINA in rounded magenta capitals on a white board
- A grey shadow below and to the left of every letter
- A smaller violet second line beneath it, not legible
- A balcony railing in grey render directly over the board
- A green hedge to its left with a sign in white script ending in Deli
The frame it comes from
The frame is Extended Look at 16:53.20. It is 3840 by 2160, and the subject occupies 384 by 129 of it. Also in it: a woman in a cropped BADDIE hoodie and a man in a backwards cap.
How this was measured
| Source | Extended Look, 16:53.20 |
|---|---|
| Frame | 3840 × 2160 |
| Crop | 384 × 129 — a very small part of the frame |
| Image check | 24 September 2026 — crop checked against the frame |
| Text check | 27 September 2026 — 40 claims read against the image, 4 corrected |
| Read at | the true pixel grid, 1:1 |
| Lettering | Letter height | Contrast | Reads |
|---|---|---|---|
| JOSEFINA | 36 px | — | every character |
| the second line under the name | — | — | no |
| Deli | 53 px | — | every character |
| IDA | 63 px | — | every character |
| the yellow script under IDA on the truck | 33 px | — | no |
These figures come from the dataset, not from the prose above. We measure everything and claim what counts. How we work
What we still do not know
- What kind of business it is
- What the second line says
- Whether it is enterable
- What the Deli beside it is called
- Which district the street is in
Every frame we have
Also in these frames
Measured in the same frames as the images above, but without a page of their own. Same rule as everywhere else: what the crop carries, with the source and the timecode. The ones whose frame no page shows are collected in the frame.
