Stunt dirt bike

A dirt bike up on its back wheel in a Vice City press still, yellow-rimmed and without lights, the rider in street clothes in front of a wall painted end to end.

The front wheel is up and the bike is balanced on the rear, which is the whole point of the frame. It is a competition-style machine: yellow wheel rims front and rear on black knobblies, black and grey plastics with a yellow rear side panel, silver fork tubes over black lower legs, and wide bars with a black crossbar pad. On the front of the fork sits a black number board with nothing on it; there is no headlight, no mirror and no licence plate. Until 26 September this page said there was no plate at all.

The rider is not dressed for racing. A pale blue head wrap, sunglasses, a cream T-shirt with a large pink cartoon print across the chest, teal shorts and white trainers, one foot on the peg and the other out of sight behind the machine, white gloves on the bars.

Behind him the wall is covered from end to end in a mural of magenta, blue, yellow and teal shapes; a palm trunk stands at the left and a bench sits in front of the paint. At the left edge of the crop is the side of a second dirt bike with pink zebra-striped plastics; until 26 September this page had a pink wheel coming into frame there. Rockstar’s caption for the screenshot has a road in Vice City where cars are driving and people on dirt bikes and ATVs are performing tricks.

The frame it comes from

The frame is a still from the official Press pack, which carries no timecode. It is 3840 by 2160, and the vehicle occupies 364 by 540 of it. Also in it: a small income-tax office, Vice City, a blue two-tone saloon, a modern muscle convertible, a red sport sedan, and Hawx side-by-side UTV.

• Whether the bike doing the same thing in Trailer 1 is this one. On the evidence it is not: that one runs gold rims over blue-purple plastics, this one yellow rims over black and grey with a yellow rear panel. They are kept as separate records.
• The name, and the manufacturer
• Whether this is the same model as either bike in the Kalaga mud race
• Whether the wheelie is a scripted set piece or a player action
• Everything measured: top speed, handling, price, where it spawns
