Scuba diving
Scuba diving, with tanks and fins, around a reef with a sea turtle and a moray eel in it — and a stone structure on the bottom that looks like a wreck.
The press screenshot shows two divers in full scuba gear mid-water: tanks on their backs, fins, masks, one reaching towards the reef. Sunlight comes down through the surface behind them in shafts. A green sea turtle swims below and to the right, and a moray is visible in the rock.
Below and behind the divers sits a row of stone columns that do not belong to a natural reef. Whatever it is — a wreck, a ruin, a sunken structure — it is deliberate set dressing and it has its own page here.
Diving in Grand Theft Auto has existed since GTA V, but always as a means to an end. What this image shows is a dive framed as a thing worth doing: two people, wildlife, and something to look at on the bottom.
How to recognise it
- Full scuba gear: tanks, fins, masks
- A green sea turtle and a moray eel in the same frame
- Sunlight in shafts through the surface
- A row of stone columns on the bottom, not a natural formation
- Two divers together, not one
The frame it comes from
The frame is a still from the official Press pack, which carries no timecode. It is 3840 by 2160, and the vehicle occupies 1613 by 950 of it. Also in it: The reef wreck and the Leonida Keys.
What we still do not know
- Whether there is an air supply meter
- Whether the wreck or ruin can be entered
- Whether diving gear is bought or found
- Whether there is anything to collect down there
