The Leonida race circuit

A wide dirt track through hilly ground with a race on it: riders strung out ahead, spectators on the bank and rock outcrops either side; and, in a second frame, a fenced tarmac circuit that may or may not be the same venue.

The shot is taken from low down behind another rider, looking along the track as it curves away between banks. Six or more riders are strung out ahead, most on dirt bikes and one on a quad, throwing up dust and clods. The surface is dry churned dirt, the sides rise into scrub and pale rock, and two or three people are standing on the bank at the right watching. Further up on the left, where the track crests, the quad and its rider are beside a rider in a red helmet; until 23 September 2026 this page had a parked pickup there, and until 25 September it had the quad stopped on the near bank, which a still cannot show.

The same frame is on the off-road racing page, beside a press still of four dirt bikes and a quad in the mud below derelict silos at Mount Kalaga. Whether the two are the same course or two parts of the same area, the frames we have do not settle.

It is a purpose-shaped track rather than open ground: somebody has graded those berms.

The second crop is a different kind of place: a tarmac circuit at 17:41.80, seen from a car in the race. A high chain-link fence runs along a wall faced in black and white panels, with dark advertising boards behind the mesh, a yellow pop-up canopy, a lamp post and a traffic cone. The boards and a small sign at the left carry lettering that sits under this site’s letter floor, and one banner on the fence has larger capitals that the motion blur keeps from coming apart, so nothing here is read. Whether this circuit and the dirt track are one venue, the frames we have do not say.

The frame is Extended Look at 18:34.80. It is 3840 by 2160, and the subject occupies 2304 by 648 of it. Also in it: a dirt track through rocky hills and a green motocross bike.
