Skydiving
Skydiving is in GTA 6. At 18:50 of the Extended Look a woman falls face down over a canal city with her arms out and an orange-strapped pack on her back; at 18:55 the orange canopy is open above her, the downtown towers ahead.
In the Extended Look at 18:50 the camera sits above and behind a woman in freefall. She lies flat on the air, arms out, legs apart, white trainers nearest the lens, dark hair thrown up off her neck, in a black vest and denim shorts. On her back is a black pack with orange straps and an orange chevron panel, the canopy still inside it. Beneath her a canal bends between low blocks of flats, a bridge crosses it, a boat sits on the water, cars line the roads on both banks, and a flat roof with a pale turquoise dome at one corner lies under her feet.
Five seconds on, at 18:55, the canopy is out: an orange ram-air parachute with a paler band along its top, the lines running down to the woman’s raised hands and an orange slider at the foot of them. The camera is behind her now, above her and under the canopy. Ahead is a cluster of towers on the horizon, water and low islands between, and beneath her feet the canal again, a boat on it, palms and a road along the bank, low blocks and a white apartment building at the left.
Two frames say what the activity looks like and not how it starts. There is no HUD in either, no altitude, no marker, and nothing shows the jump itself: a helicopter, a plane, a roof or a fixed jump point. The series has had parachutes since San Andreas, and GTA Online turned them into a scored mode, Parachuting, with checkpoints to steer through on the way down; what is new here is the city under the jump, water on every side and the towers a long way off.
A third frame from the same sequence, at 18:58, is logged with the other two and not shown here: nothing in it can be checked against a sentence.
How to recognise it
- A woman face down in freefall, arms out and legs apart, dark hair up off her neck
- A black pack with orange straps and an orange chevron panel on her back
- An orange ram-air canopy with a paler band along its top, lines to both raised hands
- A canal city below with a bridge and a boat; downtown towers on the horizon once the canopy is open
- No HUD in either frame
The frame it comes from
The frame is Extended Look at 18:50.60. It is 3840 by 2160, and the subject occupies 1689 by 1512 of it.
How this was measured
| Source | Extended Look, 18:50.60 |
|---|---|
| Frame | 3840 × 2160 |
| Crop | 1689 × 1512 — a good part of the frame |
| Image check | 26 September 2026 — crop checked against the frame |
| Text check | 27 September 2026 — 62 claims read against the image, 5 corrected |
| Read at | the true pixel grid, 1:1 |
These figures come from the dataset, not from the prose above. We measure everything and claim what counts. How we work
What we still do not know
- Whether the skydiver is Lucia. Nothing in these frames names her, and neither shows her face.
- Where the jump starts: a helicopter, a plane, a roof or a fixed jump point
- Whether the parachute is bought, carried as an item, or handed out by a mission
- Whether skydiving is scored, as GTA Online’s Parachuting mode is, or only a way down
