Megamundo

A lit glass tower on the bay with MEGAMUNDO at its foot, a striped globe on the roof and a helicopter on the pad beside it; the Extended Look shows the name lit beside the elevated metro at 20:32, and a scale model of a tower with the same kind of dome on an office table at 22:15.

The building is a glass tower of about twenty floors on a faceted plan, with white light strips running up between the window bays and a handful of window bays lit blue, cyan and magenta. On the roof stand a striped globe, lit in bands of colour, and a helipad with a helicopter on it. MEGAMUNDO is in white capitals on a dark band at the base.

The frame is taken from above and to the side, the building lit and an orange glow low in the clouded sky. Behind it and to the left stands a taller concrete apartment block with balconies and a gold-lit crown, partly hidden by the Megamundo tower in front of it; that is not the Megamundo building. The whole still, on the Vice City page, has the bay beside the tower, with a lit big wheel and a second line of towers on the far shore.

The foot of the tower is behind a lower roof and trees at the bottom of the crop, so the entrance is not in the picture. What the crop holds is the tower from its lit band up to the globe, with the concrete block’s balconies filling the left edge and the clouded sky at the top right.

The Extended Look puts the name on screen at 20:32. The camera looks up from under the elevated metro: low down, MEGAMUNDO in lit white capitals on a dark band across a lower block; above it, beyond the guideway, a tower of pale lit window bays with a rainbow-striped dome on its roof and red warning lights at its corners. A train in a dark red-and-purple livery is on the guideway between the two. That is the same pairing as the press image, the name at the foot and a striped globe on top, seen from the street rather than from the air.

At 22:15 the same shape turns up indoors. On a conference table in a dark room, with a man in a patterned blue shirt standing behind it, sits a scale model: a tower of lit window bays with a rainbow-striped dome on its roof, lower blocks around it and a lit road at its foot. A laptop on the same table shows a rainbow-striped globe as its desktop logo, over a word too small on this frame to count as read. Whose office this is, and why the model is on the table, the frames do not say.

Until 23 September 2026 this page also placed a later sequence of the Extended Look at this building as a fact. No frame of that sequence has been measured for this site, so it is not described here, and nothing in the three frames above settles where it happens.

The frame is a still from the official Press pack, which carries no timecode. It is 3840 by 2160, and the subject occupies 1094 by 1991 of it. Also in it: Vice City.
