Working out
A gym with real equipment: Lucia on a weight machine in fingerless gloves and headphones, sunlight coming through the window behind her.
The press screenshot is a straight-on shot of her working. She is seated at a plate-loaded machine, hands on the grips in white training gloves, wearing a grey cropped hoodie with BADDIE across it and over-ear headphones. The weight stack and a rack of plates are visible to the right.
The room is bright and glazed, with palms outside — a commercial gym rather than a garage. Elsewhere in the material there is a second and very different version of the same activity: an open-air gym on the beach with dumbbells and benches, which has its own entry.
Grand Theft Auto has had stats you can raise since San Andreas and dropped them since. An image of a character mid-set, with headphones on and gloves, says the idea is back; it does not say what it raises.
How to recognise it
- A plate-loaded weight machine with a visible stack
- White fingerless training gloves
- A grey cropped hoodie reading BADDIE
- Over-ear headphones
- A glazed commercial gym, with an open-air beach version elsewhere in the material
The frame it comes from
The frame is a still from the official Press pack, which carries no timecode. It is 3840 by 2160, and the vehicle occupies 3840 by 2160 of it. Also in it: Lucia Caminos.
What we still do not know
- Whether working out raises a stat, and which
- Whether the gym is a membership, a building you enter, or both
- Whether both protagonists train
- What the headphones are playing — the game has radio, and a phone
