The letters are individually lit in warm orange, running vertically down the corner and then BAR horizontally beneath. What the screenshot holds of the vertical word is QUOR and the foot of the letter above the Q; the L and the rest of the I lie above the top edge of the frame. LIQUOR is the obvious completion, and this page carries it as a completion and not a reading; until 23 September 2026 it presented the whole word as read.

Each letter of the neon sits in its own compartment on a tall dark-red panel, thick tubes glowing orange with a paler core, and BAR runs on a separate panel that juts out at the foot. The shot looks up at it, so the whole sign leans. On the plaster wall beside the sign there is a tall window of small panes with a box fixed under it, and the night air around the corner is hazy.

Directly behind the neon, and unlit, is a vertical board in the same dark red whose raised letters read ODWINKS, an eighth character cut off by the top of the screenshot. Lucia sits astride a yellow sportbike in front of the corner.

The neon is the brightest thing in the frame but not the only light: the wall of the corner building beside it is lit warm orange, and a red tail light shows at the foot of the sign.
