Rockstar’s page for it is headed Welcome to the Wetlands and calls it the untamable jewel of Leonida’s crown. The description is short and all about what is in the water: you never know what lies beneath the surface of this primordial expanse, and the gators may be the most famous attraction, but there are, in Rockstar’s words, far deadlier predators and weirder discoveries among the mangroves

The frames on this page show the gators and nothing deadlier. Rockstar’s own captions for four of the press screenshots file them in Grassrivers and say what they show: three people covered in mud posing on an airboat with a dead alligator and a wildcat, two people in an airboat surrounded by alligators with one aiming a gun at the nearest, a helicopter and two police cars chasing a pickup through a swamp with alligators, and a speedboat heading for buildings on piers with the Vice City skyline in the distance.

What the frames show
Nine frames as of 26 September 2026, six of them official screenshots and three cut from the trailers and the Extended Look, which puts this second only to Vice City among the places on this site. The first is a camp at the water’s edge under tall trees: a house on stilts with a painted sign, people on a jetty, a seaplane moored alongside, a camouflaged pickup and stacked crates on the bank, and a city skyline through the haze beyond. The widest view shows a settlement built on pilings: a restaurant deck under umbrellas and a three-storey block on stilts, boardwalks between them, boats moored at the quay behind, a water tower and the towers of Vice City on the horizon, with a speedboat full of people heading in.
A still shot from water level has a camouflaged pickup ploughing through the shallows towing a trailer with a cage of alligators, somebody in a wide-brimmed hat standing behind the cab holding something long and dark upright, a police SUV with its lights on behind, a second set of lights further back, an airboat beyond and a helicopter overhead, with two alligators in the water to the right.
The close shots are about the life. Three people covered in mud pose on an airboat with a dead alligator laid across the boards and a dead wildcat on the seat behind it: one man sits in the driver’s chair with a scoped rifle leaning against his leg, the other stands with a scoped rifle in both hands, and the woman sits between them, the propeller cage behind. A bearded man holds a break-action shotgun upright in a shed where an alligator hangs from a beam, with three more men and a dog behind him. An airboat is photographed straight down from above among lily pads and duckweed, with two people aboard: one in the driver’s seat behind the engine, the other at the bow aiming a gun at an alligator right beside it, and two more alligators in the water around.
The three video frames are the wetland itself: an airboat in golden haze among the reeds with birds overhead, from the first trailer; an airboat running up a clear green river past a boardwalk on stilts, with birds splashing up from the water, from the Extended Look; and an airboat throwing up spray down a waterway between pines, with a bridge behind and the green cabin of an aircraft in the foreground, from the second trailer.
It is a working landscape as much as a wild one: the stills are full of boardwalks, boats and sheds and the people who use them, the video frames of reeds, water and birds.
