Delights Cabaret

The sign is two-part. Above, on a pale panel, Delights runs in pink script with CABARET beneath it in dark green capitals, and a dark dancer silhouette stands at the right of the same panel with its hands behind its head; GIRLS runs vertically down the pink neon panels on both sides of it, small at the left and large at the right. Below, a manual letter board: NEW GIRLS NEW FOOD, OPEN ALL NIGHT, HIRING DANCERS. Until 23 September 2026 this page put the silhouette on the GIRLS panel, and the crop cut the board after its first line; the crop now takes all three lines, and only the blank lower part of the board runs out below it.

The rest of the frame, with the club’s single-storey red-lit frontage and its own DELIGHTS sign over the door, the wet car park and a person bent over a shopping trolley at the right, is on the Port Gellhorn page, and the green lifted pickup on the forecourt has a page of its own.

The main panel is brightest along its lower edge, where it turns a pale greenish white, and yellowed towards the top, with scuffs and stains across it; the pink of the script is palest at the D. The neon tubes on the side panels are mounted on plain crimson-pink boxes that frame it. The letter board sits below the sign on a dark post, its white face the largest bright area in the crop, with wet tarmac and a kerb behind it.

The letter board is the detail that makes it feel real. A club advertising both new girls and new food, in changeable letters, is a very specific kind of place.
