Classic with tailfins

The rear corner of a fifties-style car at the edge of the frame: a tall tailfin tipped with a chrome bullet and a red lens, a slatted chrome panel below it and a heavy bumper with a round port.

The crop is the rear corner of a car at the left edge of the frame, close to the camera and out of focus. What is in it is a tailfin in a very pale grey-green, rising to a point and tipped with a chrome bullet housing that holds a red lens, with a thin darker line along its top edge. Below the fin the body turns into a chrome rear panel of horizontal slats split by short vertical bars, and the corner ends in a heavy chrome bumper with a large round ring set into it, dark inside.

Behind it are sky and trees. Palm fronds stand against high cloud beyond the fin, and the top left corner of the crop is a white wall with a blue band across it and a metal cylinder standing against it; until 23 September 2026 this page called that a white railing. At the bottom right the ground shows sand, a patch of grass and a puddle. Until 26 September this page gave the fin chrome trim along its top edge; at full size that edge is a thin dark line with no chrome in it.

A fin this tall with a lamp in its tip is late-fifties American styling, the 1959 Cadillac being the best-known example, and the slatted panel and the round bumper port point the same way; one corner of a car does not say which model it copies. A Vapid Ganado, a faded turquoise coupe utility, stands further off in the same frame.
